Some Ride...
On The Road Again-Willie Nelson
Y/n POV
"No! No way in hell is that happening!" Daryl yells at Rick. I roll my eyes at his comment. Geez.
"Yeah, there's no way in hell that I'm riding with him." I shout to Rick. Daryl just glares at me.
"I know, but there isn't enough room for Y/n to ride with us or get in the RV." Rick reasons.
"Have her ride with Shane!" I shake my head.
"There isn't enough room in their either. We are putting supplies in it." Rick adds. Ugh. Why does Rick have to be right.
"Sigh. Maybe I can fit with Morales." I add, looking to his small car, bunched up with his family. Great.
"I don't think Morales has enough room either." Rick replies. I look at Rick and cross my arms. Rick turns to Daryl. "Please. It's only a few hours." Daryl stands there for awhile, but speaks up.
"Fine, but she better not put her damn feet on the dashboard." Daryl shouts.
"Don't plan on it." I smirk. Daryl walks off and I walk to Carl and pick him up. "Let's get some sleep, bud."

'Ugh. Morning time. Let's hope this plan works.' I complain in my thoughts.
"Everybody listen up. Those of you with C.B.s, we're gonna be on channel 40. Let's keep the chatter down, okay? Now you got a problem, don't have a C.B., can't get a signal or anything at all, you're gonna hit your horn one time. That'll stop the caravan. Any questions." Shane replies. Morales has a troubled look and decides to speak up.
"We're, uh-we're-we're not going." Morales states. Everyone has a few gasp, but goes back to staying silent.
"We have family in Birmingham. We want to be with our people." Morale's wife adds.
"You go on your own, you won't have anyone to watch your back." Shane replies, giving him a sad look. Morales looks confident. He gently side hugs his wife and looks to us.
"We'll take the chance. I got to do what's best for my family." Morales states.
"You sure?" Rick asked, troubled.
"We talked about it. We're sure." Morales says, nodding his head confidently.
"All right. Yeah, all right." Rick bends down and grabs a gun. He hands it to Morales and Shane hands him ammo.
"The box is half full." Shane adds. Before they could leave, the group says their good byes. Carl starts to get tears in his eyes. Lori jumps down from the truck and hugs Morales wife. Sophia and Morales wife bond. The men give handshakes to Morales and he thanks them for everything. "Thank you all...for everything." Morale's wife reported. Morales comes to me last. He puts out his hand.
"Thank you. I could have died, but you saved me. Me and my family." Morales thanks. I shake his hand and nod.
"It was nice to meet someone like you. Maybe we'll see each other again someday." I see Morale's daughter hand Sophia her doll. Heh. Maybe one day. Maybe one day in a event where...where something good can happen.
Rick speaks to Morales a little longer, until they finally get in the car. Shane looks stressed and annoyed, but ends up staying a bit calm.
"What makes you think our odds are any better?" Shane ask. "Come on. Let's go. Let's move out!" Great. Here comes the fun part. I walk over to Daryl's truck. I smirk at him and he rolls his eyes.
