The Missing Little Girl
Gives you Hell-The All American Rejects
Y/n POV
"Sure it was this spot?" Daryl asks. I cross my arms in annoyance and anger.
"I left her right here." Rick points to the spot that he had last left Sophia. I sigh in Frustration. "I drew the walkers way off in that direction up the creek." In even more frustration, I kick the water, causing it to splash everywhere. Daryl, Rick, Glenn and Shane look at me confused. I pinched the bridge of my nose and look up in anger, Frustration, annoyance, Irritation. Whatever the hell you wanna call it!
"Damn it." I muttered. Daryl looks back down to the water. Sophia could be gone or worse. I can't lose her too. She's just a kid.
"Without a paddle-seems where we've landed." Daryl starts to walk over to me. Rick stands up and does the same.
"She was gone by the time I got back here. I figured she just took off and ran back to the group. I told her go that way and keep the sun on her left shoulder." Rick had concern written all over his face. Rick comes over to me and puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, short round, why don't you step off to one side? You're mucking up the trial." Daryl comments to Glenn. Glenn slowly walks off the trial. I nod at Rick before taking his hand off my shoulder.
"Assuming she knows her left from her right." Shane comments. I get angry at this.
"Shane, she's a smart girl. I'm sure she knows her left from her right." Shane glare at me and looks away. Great. Now I have 2 enemies here. Daryl and Shane. But Shane is worse then Daryl. Ugh.
"Shane, she understood me fine." Rick announces, obviously annoyed too. Shane scoffs lightly at him.
"Kids tired and scared, man. She had her close call with two walkers. Gotta wonder how much of what you said stuck." Poor Sophia. She must be so scared.
"Got clear prints right here." I hear Daryl chimed in. "She did like you said, headed back to the highway. Let's spread out, make our way back!" Relief floods through me. I sigh out loud, causing the boys to glance at me.
"Well, let's go." I cheered, faking a smile. It quickly disappeared when Glenn smiled back. This is all my fault.
"She couldn't have gotten far. Y/n's right. Let's go." Shane adds. I run up the dirt hill, Glenn catching my hand and pulling me up. I nodded at him, before walking forward.
"Rick. We're gonna find her." Shane tells Rick. I look back and see him nod. He doesn't look as concern anymore.
"Thank you, Glenn." I say, walking by him. He smiles at me and nods.
"You good. You seemed kinda mad earlier." I chuckle a bit. The chuckle goes away and I sigh.
"I just-Sophia, she shouldn't be out here alone. I mean-she's just a kid." I look over at Glenn. He gives me a sympathy look. He puts his hand on my shoulder.
"It's okay, Y/n. We'll find her. We all will." I smile at his words. He gently takes his hand away. We follow behind Daryl, listening for the slightest sound.
He slowly starts to stop, as do we all. He knees down near this one pile of leaves, by the looks of it. There are tracks. "She was doing just find till right here. All she had to do was keep going. She veered off that way." I watch Shane bend down, examining the tracks. Glenn and Rick look around.
"Why would she do that?" Glenn questions.I sigh in annoyance again. Nonono.
"Maybe she saw something. Heard something. Spooked her off." Shane says, while placing his hand across the track.
