Yinhwa's Pov

I was sleeping with Huaisang on my shoulder when I heard a scream, jolting all of us awake. I saw Huaisang sweating bullets. "What happened?"

"I-I had a nightmare," He replied shaken up. I sighed in relief and patted his head. "Calm down, it's just a dream," I assured, and he nods.

However, we heard some noise, and we quickly got up, standing in front of the Fairy Statue, which began moving. "Now what?" Huaisang asked. "Now what!? Run?" Wei Wuxian replied.

The statue then starting fighting us bit focused it's attacks mainly on Lan Wangji. "Goddamnit! Why is it only attacking Wangji?!" I yelled in frustration.

"What do I know? Maybe it has a crush on him or something," Wei Wuxian joked. "Shut up," Wangji retorted as we continued to fight the moving statue.

Eventually, the three of us managed to seal it. "Is she sealed?" Huaisang asked, and I nodded.

"Be wary." Lan Wangji warned me as I went to check the entrance and called out, As I looked outside, I shouted, "Boys.... Boys! BOYS!!"

"What are you screaming for?" Wei Wuxian asked as they come towards me, and I pointed outside. They all followed my gaze. "We've got company," I said, alerting them to the approaching danger.

"What are they? Shouldn't their souls be snatched?" Huaisang asked in fear. "They lied, there was no spirit snatch. They are puppets." Wei Wuxian explained.

"All gods, all immortals, save me. All gods, all immortals, save me." Huaisang started chanting. I couldn't help but feel a little amused by his plea. "No gods are going to save us. We're all by ourselves."

The puppets began banging on the door. The four of us held the door to stop them from coming in. Wei Wuxian gave me and Wangji a meaningful look, and we nodded.

"Huaisang, come." I said as I held his arm and pulled him back. Wei Wuxian swiftly used a talisman to block the door. "We need to think of something. The spell won't hold out for long." I warned.

Suddenly, the doors swung open, and all of us except Huaisang jumped back in surprise. "Huaisang, look out!" I shouted. "BRO WEI! BRO LAN! SIS CHANG! HELP ME!" He cried out as he skillfully dodged their attacks.

'Atleast he's good at dodging the attacks.'

"Why am I always the unlucky one!" Huaisang whined as Lan Wangji moved to restrain the puppets, and I pulled Huaisang away. "Are you okay?" I asked, and he nods.

"Stay back," Wei Wuxian ordered, and Huaisang moved behind us. I couldn't help but express my frustration, "What the hell are you doing without your sword!?"

"I don't know how to wield a sword." Huaisang sheepishly replied.

"You are the brother of the strongest cultivator!!" I was furious.

"Well, sorry!! I live to disappoint!" Huaisang retorted.

I cast a spell to keep the puppets at bay. Wei Wuxian sheathed his sword while Lan Wangji remained on guard. "Don't, they are not dead yet. Look at their pupils." Wangji noted.

Wei Wuxian put his sword back. "Lan Zhan, do you have a better idea?" He asked. Wangji's reply was straightforward.

"Run."

"Wait, wait, wait. Bro Lan, Bro Wei, Sis Chang, isn't it reckless for us to run through them? Shouldn't we talk about it?" Huaisang was concerned.

Worried about our safety, Huaisang continued, "If we go out like this, aren't we just courting death? I don't want to die yet. My canary hmmm? Hmpm—"
