Yinhwa's Pov
The next morning, we get together at the Rock House, and Wei Wuxian took precautions, donning his mask to avoid getting detected by Huaisang.
"MY FAMILY GRAVE HOLDS NOTHING BUT CORPSES!" Nie Huaisang shouted, causing both Wei Wuxian and me to cover our ears against the volume.
"The corpses in our saber hall are all intact, with limbs attached. An armless male corpse simply can't be in there,"
Nie Huaisang gasped, out of breath, having unearthed all the male corpses. I gently reassured him, "Calm down," Though he remained irritated.
Wei Wuxian observed the corpses, contemplating. 'I highly doubt there's a three-armed corpse,' I communicated his thoughts, and he scowled.
"Can you stop reading my mind?" He retorted, to which I smirked. "Can't help it if you're an open book." "The legs," Lan Wangji pointed out.
"Right! Let's check by removing their pants," Wei Wuxian proposed, earning a disgusted look from me. 'He's not wrong, but that's rather disgusting.'
"How can you say that in front of Hanguang-Zun and Yinhwa?" Huaisang protested, visibly alarmed.
"Help me undress them. It's just males," Wei Wuxian askedxl, seeking Huaisang's assistance. "Yinhwa, hold back this lunatic," Huaisang pleaded, to which I chuckled lightly.
Lan Wangji intervened, grasping Wei Wuxian's shoulder. "Stay still. Let me handle this," He directed. This prompted Nie Huaisang and me to feel as though our souls had departed our bodies.
With precision, Wangji examined the corpses' lower garments with his sword. "Huaisang..." I addressed him. "Yes?" He replied. "Do me a favor and bury me alive in your family's grave," I half-joked.
"Haha, Yinhwa, I was just about to ask you the same thing," He chuckled, we looked at each other and shared a laugh. Eventually, Wangji indeed uncovered a pair of legs.
'So, there truly was one.'
Huaisang collapsed, and I caught him. After a brief unconsciousness, he regained his senses, expressing his confusion. "Yinhwa, I'm clueless... I truly am," He mumbled, shaking his head, and I laughed in response.
The Ghost Hand indicated our next destination. "Southwest," Wangji stated, and I assured him, "I know it's not you." He visibly relaxed.
"May I leave now?" Huaisang inquired, and I nodded.
Then he immediately fled the scene, and we set off on our journey. "Who do you think is responsible?" Wei Wuxian asked. "There are two factions," Wangji began.
"The group placing the legs at the Rock House is desperately concealing the body, while those behind the Ghoul Hand at Mo's Mansion want the body investigated," I said.
Both of them nod and from the Ghost Hand's guidance, we arrived at Yueyang's Graveyard.
"Yinhwa, you're not the one who killed our dear friend here, are you?" Wei Wuxian teased, eliciting a playful retort from me.
"Was dying once- no twice not enough for you? Are you looking for another repetition?" I asked cheerfully, to which he chuckled, "Just kidding, just kidding," causing me to sigh in response.
Upon opening the door, we spotted someone in the act of digging a grave. Startled by our arrival, the individual attempted to seize the body and flee, only to be intercepted by Lan Wangji.
A conflict took place between Wangji and the mysterious figure, while the two of us just speculated it while passing a few comments here and there.
"Seems like he's well-versed in Wangji's combat style," I remarked. "Indeed, and he's concealed both his face and sword," Wei Wuxian added.
