Yinhwa's POV

A week drifted by, and the long-awaited day arrived—we were to be married.

Adorned in the traditional crimson wedding attire, I stood, veiled, awaiting Jiang Cheng's arrival for our wedding night.

"Are you ever going to unveil your stunning bride, or do I need to do it myself?" I scoffed after waiting a long time, as Jiang Cheng entered the room.

"Ah, I was just admiring the mystery," He retorted with a smirk, his eyes looking mischievous.

With a rough tug, he yanked  the veil, revealing a mix of amusement and surprise on his face. "Wow, I struck gold," He said, feigning amazement.

"Of course!" I huffed, proudly to maintain a straight face but failing as a laugh bubbled up.

"You better make me happy." I said with a grin, extending my hand towards him. "I will." Jiang Cheng took it and gave it a gentle squeeze.

Jiang Cheng's gaze softened, his hand gently cupping my cheek as he leaned in closer. "Can I fuck you?" He whispered, his breath barely grazing my lips.

My heart raced at the proximity, and I nodded in silent anticipation.

As our lips met in a gentle and tender kiss, the world seemed to still around us. Breaking the kiss, Jiang Cheng's eyes searched mine.

"You have no idea how much I've wanted to make you mine." A warm, affectionate smile graced my face. "I know... I know..." His chuckle was like music to my ears.

Time Skip~~~

The following morning, I awoke to an intense ache coursing through my body. "Ugh!" Summoning every ounce of strength, I managed to sit up.

"Good morn--!" I began to greet my newly-wed husband, but to my dismay, he wasn't beside me.

Panic surged within, prompting me to hastily put on whatever robe lay nearby and rush out.

"Madam?!" The familiar faces of the servants turned toward me, visibly surprised. "Where's Jiang Cheng?" I asked, scanning the area, worry etched across my face.

"The Clan Leader is teaching the new recruits--" Before the maid could finish, I dashed towards the training grounds.

"Wanyin!!" I panted, clutching onto my robes. "Yinhwa, You--!!" He glared at me, closing the distance, and I gradually composed myself.

"What are you doing?" He questioned annoyed, draping his outer robes over me. "Oh, thank goodness!" I sighed, resting my head against his chest.

"What are you looking at?! Turn around!!" He scolded a young trainee, evoking a chuckle from me.

"What happened...?" Jiang Cheng tenderly patted my head, kissing my temple and in that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of belonging in his embrace.

"Are you the Jiang Cheng I married yesterday?" I asked, to which he chuckled softly.

'I thought yesterday was a dream!' Jiang Cheng said out the concern in my mind, before assuring me. "You don't have to worry, it's all real."

I lingered in his arms for a few moments. "Looks like I went a bit too easy on you yesterday," He murmured, toying with strands of my hair.

"Since you have so much energy to get up and run around looking like this, maybe I can take you on harder--!" His words trailed off as I hurriedly hushed him.

"Please don't."

Jiang Cheng, with a sly grin, teased, "What? Can't handle a little morning training?" I blushed, playfully swatting his arm. "We both know you're not talking about training."
