Yinhwa's POV

"Wow, Madam Yu, you've got an impressive talent for being mean," I exclaimed as I strolled off the boat into Yunmeng, only to be greeted by her smug smile.

"I mean, I've lost count of how many times I've said 'thank you'!"

Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng seemed utterly bewildered as they watched me arrive. "Hey, help with her stuff," Yu Ziyuan commanded her servants, who promptly grabbed my bags from the boat.

"Let's roll, Yinhwa, you've got a lot to grasp." She nudged me forward, and I sighed, trailing along with her. How I ended up back in Yunmeng just a month after leaving went something like this:

Flashback~~~

Yesterday~~~

"Yinhwa, got a letter from Yunmeng," Qingqiu announced while I was trying to lull Chang Lou to sleep. "Who's it from?" I asked, and he looked into the letter and back at me.

"I'll get the servants to pack your things," He said mysteriously, handing me the letter before darting out.

"What the hell was that?" Puzzled, I gently placed the snoozing baby on the bed and looked into the letter.

"Yinhwa,

I know you and Qingqiu love that Zidian thing. But here's the deal: if you don't come to Yunmeng as I say, I'll end your family line for three generations. No joke.

Don't think you have a choice here. It's a must-do, not a maybe. Your decision decides your family's future.

Be wise.

Madam Yu"

"Ha! Madam Yu, your true colors are shining through," I chuckled, a mix of irritation and amusement. "How desperate is she to hitch me to Jiang Cheng?"

"Considering she's a friend of my mother, Madam Yu probably got wind of our weakness through her. It's highly likely she shared our vulnerability with her, leading to this threat."

Back To The Present

As I walked alongside Madam Yu through the grand halls of Lotus Pier.
Her silent expectations seemed to loom heavily, resting on my shoulders.

Stepping into an opulent room, Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian followed me, their expressions a mix of confusion and concern. I glanced back at them.

Madam Yu sat arrogantly at the head of a long table, her gaze piercing into me, as if looking into my soul, making me fidget nervously.

"Yinhwa, there's much to discuss and a great deal for you to comprehend," She announced. I inhaled deeply, hinting at my hesitation.

"Madam Yu, as much as I respect you and Jiang Clan's, I'd love up want to remind you that I have no plans to be engaged to Jiang Cheng..."
