It had been a couple of days since Abigail had been given Ryan's number, she had it pinned on her noticed board in the kitchen of her new house. Abigail had somehow managed to get a couple of days off, which had come just in time for her to decorate her new house. Harriet had agreed to help her.
Abigail was wearing a pair of black denim short shorts and a white t-shirt which had a black picture of The Beatles on it, her hair was scraped into a messy bun on the top of her head and she had a pair of flat Black pumps on her feet. As Abigail was painting the lounge wall In a grape colour she had managed to get some on her nose, cheek, hands and arms.
The radio was playing in the background and she was singing along very loudly to OneRepublic Stop and Stare, Harriet was also singing along and painting, however Harriet was disrupted from her work when she heard a knock at the door. She opened it and nearly dropped her paint brush "Oh my god, Hi" she gasped as she opened the door wider.
"Hello" Ryan smiled as he removed his sunglasses and put them into the back pocket of his black jeans
"Please come in" Harriet smiled "My name is Harriet, I am Abigail's best friend and personal assistant"
"Nice to meet you" Ryan replied politely before shaking Harriet extended hand "Er is Abigail here?"
"Yeah" Harriet giggled, they could both hear her singing from in the lounge "She's this way" Harriet led Ryan into the lounge. Abigail turned around.
"Stop and stare, I think I'm moving but I..." Abigail stopped singing instantly "Oh my god Ryan" Abigail exhaled "I didn't realise you were here" Abigail raised her eyebrows at Harriet who laughed at her quietly.
"It's ok, sorry to call over unannounced...but I remembered your address and was in the area so" Ryan explained with a tone of nervousness in his voice.
"I'm going to make a drink would you like one...Abi?...Ryan?" Harriet took the hint and disappeared into the kitchen, after both Abigail and Ryan had declined her offer.
"Anyway I was wondering if you were busy tonight?" Ryan smiled.
"No not really" Abigail's heart was pounding, she couldn't believe she was in this situation.
"Well I have a concert downtown later, I was wondering if you wanted to come along and then maybe go for a meal or a few drinks afterwards?" Ryan asked.
"Yeah sure, sounds great" Abigail smiled, was this really happening had Ryan Tedder just asked her out on a date?
"Great" Ryan was relieved Abigail had said yes "I'll send a car to pick you up at around 6.30"
"Ok great, I'll see you tonight" Abigail smiled, she was finding it hard to hide her excitement.
Ryan was walking out of the door, when he turned suddenly "I'm loving the tribal look by the way" he grinned cheekily "I hear it's a very hot look this season" he winked before turning around and leaving the room. Abigail was clueless until she turned around and saw her reflection in the lounge window, it was then she saw the paint on her nose and cheek.
"Oh shit" she cursed "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Tell you what?" Harriet had now returned.
"Oh I don't know maybe about the fact I look like Pocahantus" Abigail was almost yelling, Harriet was smirking which made Abigail laugh.
"What the hell must he have been thinking?" Panic suddenly filled Abigail.
"Well Abi just relax, he did ask you out tonight?" Abigail just frowned at Harriet's response "I was listening in the hall way ok"
"He doesn't even have my number" Abigail thought out loud "Do you think I should text him it?"
"Yeah, it might save him some time" Harriet teased.
Abigail walked into the kitchen and grabbed the number off the notice board 'Hey Ryan it's Abi, just thought you might need my number x' she was shocked when her phone vibrated in her hand.
'Thanks looking forward to tonight RT x' she smiled before heading back into the lounge "I need to find something to wear"
It took Abigail and Harriet 2 hours to create the perfect look for the concert. Abigail had opted for a pair of leather look leggings and a white mid - thigh length sleeveless floaty top, which had studs on the shoulders and a silver zip in the back. She had also picked out a pair of black Louboutin platform shoes with studs on the toes. Abigail was looking in the bedroom mirror when Harriet knocked on the door "Here I found this" Hariet handed her a cropped leather jacket.
"Thanks" Abigail smiled as she pulled the jacket on and up over her shoulders, she pulled her long wavy hair from out of the collar on the jacket and added the finishing touches to her make-up by adding red lipstick.
The car Ryan had sent for her at 6.30pm on the dot, the driver got out of the car when he saw Abigail come out of the house "Miss Jenson?" The driver smiled "Ryan asked me to tell you to put this on before you get to the concert" The driver handed Abigail a black Lanyard with OneRepublic written in white writing. It also had a laminated picture of the band and the words BACKSTAGE PASS printed on it in bold black letters. Abigail put it around her neck and pulled her hair through it. She then got into the car as the driver shut the door for her.
It was only a short trip to the concert location, Abigail was shown to Ryan's dressing room by one of the security members "Thank you" she smiled at the guy, before knocking on the door.
"Yeah" Ryan yelled from the other side of the door, he swung it open but stopped in his tracks instantly when he saw the beautiful dressed woman standing in front of him "Wow"
"You don't look too shabby yourself" she teased, Ryan was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, combat boots, a black t-shirt and a black leather jacket. His hair had been hidden under a black hat "The driver said I was to come straight here"
"Yeah, I thought you might want to sit stage side?" Ryan suggested as he attached some sort of musical equiptment to the back of his belt.
"Yeah awesome" Abigail was more than happy to sit stage side, she had enough bad experiences of crazy fans in audiences to last her a life time.
