Chapter 33

Ryan's POV

From the moment Leroy told me about what had happened at the school, to the moment we pulled up outside the Radio Centre, my heart was pounding in my chest. After being with Abi for 6 months, nothing the paparazzi did surprised me anymore. I kept glancing at her sat beside me as I drove us in the Range Rover, I saw Leroy's Mercedes following us "What are you doing?" I asked when I saw her tapping away at her phone.

"Just texting Nick" she replied as she continued to type "He needs to hear this from me"

"Fair enough" I exhale, if I am honest I feel completely out of my comfort zone. Apart from going back there to kick the guys ass who opened the car door, I have no idea what else to do "Are you ok now?" I ask she looks up at me and smiles.

"Yeah, it's not like it's the first time journalists have taken advantage of a situation and it won't be the last" she says before Leroy opens the car door "Leroy can you call Simon for me please" She seems much calmer now which is a relief "I might have a legel dispute on my hands"

"What did you do Abi?" Leroy frowns as he follows her, I quickly lock up the car and follow Abi and Leroy inside the studio.

"I might have done some damage" she had a mischevious grin on her face "Criminal damage to a photographers camera"

My eyes widened "You threw it didn't you?" I asked, a smirk was creeping across my face as she nodded "You badass" I laugh, before looping my arm around her.

"Abigail, honey" a familiar voice cries. I look up and see Harriet rushing towards us "Are you ok? Is Freya alright?"

"Oh yeah she's fine" Leroy laughs "The same can't be said about the journalists camera she threw across the car park" Harriet looked a little angry.

"Please tell me you didn't" she frowned, Abi nodded and smiled "Oh Abi, you know how much backlash that is going to create"

"I don't care" Abi finally spoke "She is my baby Harry, if I don't protect her who will?" She had made a very good point "They came inside a child's school grounds and terrorised a 9 year old, my 9 year old"

"It won't happen again" Leroy interrupted as he put his hand on Abi's shoulder.

"No it won't" Abigail frowned "Because Freya isn't going back there again. After today I am asking Mrs Reid to start tutoring her from home again"

"Oh Abi you know how upset Freya will be" Harriet said softly but Abi just threw her a glare.

"I have tried doing things yours and Tony's way and look what happened? Now we do things my way" Abi almost sounded threatening "Besides I know for a fact Nick isn't going to want Freya going back to that school after this. A home tutor makes it easier and safer for everyone"

"I didn't get involved I just listened quietly" I felt Abi's head resting on my shoulder when Harriet and Leroy had left "You ok?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm sorry for interrupting your recording session" she frowned "I will pay for another slot"

"That's not important, the guys will understand" I reply "I am just glad you and Freya are ok, the thought of someone hurting you made my blood boil, it scares me to think what could have happened"

"I know" she puts her hand inside mine "I just wish I could give her a normal life" I could tell Abigail was blaming herself.

"This isn't your fault" I try to comfort her "They are like animals when they start, Abi they had no right being on the School premises today"

"Yeah and now I am no better than them, I shouldn't have thrown that camera" Abigail was regretting her reaction.

"Baby if I had been there I would have been throwing punches not cameras" I smile as she does "You were protecting your child"
