Fresh Start, New Beginnings

Chapter 11

"Wow" Ryan could hardly speak, Abigail giggled as she linked her fingers with Ryan's and snuggled into his chest. They were laid in Abigail's four post bed, under a sheet. Ryan had his arm wrapped around her "What just happened?"

Abigail sat up a little and leant on Ryan, she looked into his eyes with a cheeky grin on her face "I could give you a recap if you like" she teased, Ryan laughed and rolled over so she was laid on the bed underneath him. Abigail let out a little squeal.

Here they were again laid tangled in one another Ryan was tracing a scar on Abigail's left side, with his finger tips. It was a 6 inch line that went from her rib cage to her hip bone "Not exactly one of my best features" Abigail's demeanour had changed, she looked very vulnerable as she moved her arm to cover her scar.

"There is no part of you that isn't perfect" Ryan looked straight into Abigail's eyes "I can't even begin to imagine how scary that must have been for you?" Abigail frowned a little "You don't have to tell me"

"No it's fine, its just hard to talk about" Abigail sighed, she was linking her fingers in and out of Ryan's as she brushed her hand against his "He had been stalking me for months, and I don't just mean following me around he had tagged our phone line and had even started to watch Freya at school. The worst thing about it is I was completely oblivious to it we all were" 

"He was a kid at your school right?" Ryan asked gently, he didn't want to push.

"Yeah, i mean who would expect a 16 year old to do something like that" Abigail laughed weakly "He seemed such a sweet, normal boy" Abigail's tone saddened, even now she still pitied him "It was late and Nick was on tour in Europe somewhere. I remember coming home and there was petals all over the carpet leading to the bedroom and incense burning. I thought Nick had come home early, so i dropped my bags and rushed into the lounge...it wasn't Nick" Abigail exhaled, Ryan moved the hair from her face "He had a rose in his hand, he kept saying over and over again that he wanted to take me away from my life and save me. He was so certain that he was doing a good thing, I was so scared because i knew if anything happened no-one would even know until the morning"

"What happened?" Ryan had an overwhelming rush of anger go through his body, talking about it was obviously painful.

"I don't remember he put a cloth over my face and I passed out" Abigail had tears in her eyes "I had no idea what room I was in or what time it was, it wasn't until I looked around the bedroom, then at the sheet, thats when I saw the blood. I knew exactly what he had done" Abigail couldn't fight her tears anymore.

"He raped you?" Ryan felt sick, he had no idea thats what happened. He thought it was just a crazy stalker who got inside the house and attacked her. Thats what he had read in the papers anyway. Abigail nodded, she was still sobbing. Ryan pulled her closer to him and kissed the top of her hair "Shit, Baby if i had know that, I would have never brought it up" he felt terrible "What about the scar?"

"I saw the blood and panicked, I jumped off the bed and my foot twisted. I fell straight through the dressing table mirror" Abigail explained, she had calmed a little in Ryan's arms.

"I get why Tony is so protective now" Ryan sat up a little and looked at Abigail "I swear no-one will ever get that close to you again, I can't even bare to think of someone hurting you like that" Abigail blushed a little "I mean it, being here with you now is pretty much all i have thought about since i read about your divorce. I know i am going away tomorrow, but i was hoping we could pick up where we left off when i get back. Granted its a bit soon but i don't have the luxury of time on my side. I don't have a regular job so I can't take you on many dates, but I really like you and I guess I need to know how far we can take this"
