Fresh Start, New Beginnings

Chapter 39

Abigail's POV

I felt sick throughout the whole journey to Florida, I put it down to lack of sleep. I didn't want to let Freya down she was so excited to be going to Disneyworld, she hadn't been since she was 4 years old so was well overdue another visit. I took a deep breath as Ryan pulled up in the huge car park "Here we are" he was almost as excited as Freya.

"Can we go in Mom?" Freya pleaded and I laughed "Please Mommy I want to meet Micky Mouse"

"Yeah baby" I chuckled "We just need to check in first" as I went to get out of the car I felt a stabbing pain in my stomach.

"You ok?" Ryan asked as he grabbed me instinctively "You have gone really pale, here sit in the car for a minute" he helped me get back inside the car and rested his hands on my legs "Feel better?"

I nod even though my stomach is still aching "I haven't eaten much today, I am probably just hungry" I hoped as I tried to get out of the car again. Freya looked very concerned "It's ok honey, Mommy just needs something to eat" I smile, Ryan doesn't look convinced though "I'll be fine" I reassure him, before taking hold of Freya's hand "Come on baby the sooner we check in the sooner we can meet Mickey"

I smile as Ryan catches up with us, he is wheeling his and my suitcases, Freya already has hers. I try and take my case of Ryan but he refuses to let go "It's fine" he smiles "I got this"

After checking in we go and find somewhere to eat, Freya picks out a fast food place she picks out a Mickey mouse shaped Pizza and fries. Me and Ryan both have a pizza each and some fries between us, Freya is queuing for her drink when someone approaches her "Oh my God you're Nick Carters daughter" an excited woman comes over to her.

"MOMMY" Freya cries out causing me to react "Mom" she is looking around for me as the woman and her family stand between us. I push them to one side and rush to Freya. Ryan follows me into the crowd and grabs Freya, he takes her to the booth where we are sitting and let's her climb in first, he then slides in next to her to protect her from anyone else getting too close.

"Abi oh my god" the woman cries "Can I get an autograph please, oh my god we love you so much" I feel myself being crushed in the crowd of people. Suddenly a man intervenes.

"BACK OFF" I recognise the voice as Leroy immediately, he had arrived in the park a little later then us but had arranged to meet us at the resturant "GIVE HER SOME ROOM"

After 20 minutes the crowd dies down a little and I am able to rejoin Ryan and Freya "Thank you for rescuing her" I smile weakly "I'm so sorry about that"

"It's fine" Ryan smiled "You ok?" He asked as he looked at my face, I nodded and started to eat some pizza "Cold Pizza, yum" I exhaled, causing Ryan and Freya to laugh.

Leroy sat beside me in the booth as we all finished our food "So princess where too first?" Ryan asked as he looked at Freya.

"Can we go and see the Princesses?" She asks and Ryan nods, my heart melted as I watched him interact with her.

"That ok with you Mommy?" He looked over at me, I could see the concern in his eyes.

"That sounds perfect, maybe we could get Leroy a dress while we're there" I giggle as I playfully hit Leroy's bulging arm.

Freya laughed uncontrollably "I think you would lovely in pink" she giggled. Leroy shook his head and agreed with her.

Ryan was right spending time with him and Freya was just what I needed. Even the watchful glances from the other tourists didn't bother us. We were there to have a good time and make some memories. If only I could get rid of this pain in my stomach.

I had struggled to walk around the park, my head was starting to feel fuzzy and I had a pain in my shoulder which was making carrying the shopping bags difficult. Freya had practically brought an item from every shop in the entire theme park, but I didn't mind. It was very rare that I got chance to do this with her.

"Baby you sure you're ok?" Ryan asked a he sat beside me on a picnic bench, Freya was playing in one of the play areas. Leroy was stood near her, watching her.

"I just feel abit groggy" I frown "I should be ok after a good night's sleep. We've done alot of travelling today" I smile, as I try and stand to walk over to Freya I feel my legs collapse from underneath me. Ryan grabbed me and held me up.

"Right that's it I'm taking you to see a medic, no arguements" he waited for me to stand up right, he then led me to a nearby first aid point.

The pain in my stomach intensified as we walked, I felt my body getting all clammy and I had started to feel extremely dizzy. We got in the queue behind a few children with cut knees and blisters. I took a deep breath and grabbed Ryan's shirt to steady myself "Abs" Ryan's voice was full of fear, I felt his arms urgently grab my torso as everything around me went black...

"Abi, ABI" I could hear Ryan calling my name as he picked me up in his arms.

"Bring her in here" a female voice came from nowhere, I felt Ryan lay me down gently on a bed...then there was nothing.
