Earth and Fire [Toph Beifong x OC]

The Runaway

Toph and Katara faced each other, Toph assumes an earth-bending stance, Katara bends the water from the lake to create two tentacles that connect to her hands. Between them, Suhara ignites his fists with fire, preparing to throw the flames. Aang's stands up far in front of him, tying his headband around his eyes for a blindfold.

Aang: Okay, I'm ready for some training.

He assumed his fighting stance and stomps on the ground with one foot. Toph bends several columns of rock in his way and he dodges them with ease. Katara attacks with a water whip and Aang evaded it as well, recoiling it back onto her. As Suhara punches forward, sending fireballs at him, before doing a cartwheel and shooting fire at him from his feet. Aang used Suhara's motions as a guide, dodges these as well, and then hurls a boulder at Toph. She caught it on the palm of her hand.

Toph: Good job, Twinkle-Toes. Visualize, then attack!

She propels the boulder back towards Aang, who corkscrews into the ground to avoid it. The boulder continues on its trajectory and collides with Katara's chest, bowling her over.

Katara: (Angrily) Maybe you should take your own advice, Toph.

Toph: (Obnoxiously) What's the matter? Can't handle some dirt, Madame Fussy Britches?

Katara then bends a large wave and drenched Toph with that wave.

Katara: Oh, sorry, did I splash you, Mud Slug?!

Furious, they career themselves towards each other on-ramps made of rock and ice, respectively, collided and fall to the ground with the shrieks of rage.

Aang: (Still blindfolded) Are we taking a break?

Suhara: Well Aang, if our girlfriends are fighting each other, then I guess we are.

Sokka watches from a far distance, with an evil grin on his face. He rushes towards Aang from behind, yelling

Sokka: Aaaaaaah, SNEAK ATTACK!

Aang bends a column of rock in his path, then removes the blindfold.

Aang: Sokka, sneak attacks don't work if you yell it out loud.

Katara and Toph, meanwhile, were wrestling in a pool of mud.

Toph: Hungry for a mud pie?

She then kicks mud in Katara's face.

Katara: I'll give you a mud pie.

She mud bends Toph to the ground. Toph sprung back up and earth bends Katara into the air. They were about to go at it again when they were interrupted by Aang, Suhara beside him.

Aang: Uh, guys, I thought we were supposed to be training me.

Katara: (Salvaging what dignity she can) Very well, pupil. I believe we've had enough training for today.

She walks away.

Toph: (Derisively) While Katara cleans up, (Uses her bending to remove the mud from herself) let's go have some fun!

Sokka: Yes!

Aang: Yeah!

Suhara: Let's go!

Aang, Sokka, Suhara, and Toph were just strolling down the street in Fire Fountain Village. Messenger hawks were continually flying about, and Sokka takes notice of them.

Sokka: Look at all those messenger hawks. You know, I've been thinking about getting one for myself. That way, I wouldn't have to talk to anyone. I could just send them messages.
