My fingers carried themselves across the screen of my phone as I waited for Bo. John wanted to know why we were late. The party started twenty minutes ago, and I wasn't in a rush to leave. As long as Bo was at my side, I had nowhere I needed to be. So, as she stayed in the bathroom getting ready, I wasn't in a rush to leave.
She made me stop at Target to find something to wear. We didn't plan on anything happening after the fight. She assumed we would celebrate at Buffalo Wild Wings, and so did I. Yet, John is throwing a party at my club, and now I am obligated to go. But I couldn't go if my number one wasn't attending.
Bo's humming floated through the loft, filling the silence. The sweet melody playing made me want to lock her away and keep her a secret from the world. Believe me I fucking wanted to. I caught her swaying her hips when I walked into the bathroom a few minutes ago. I couldn't help but to stop and stare. She sang into her brush without knowing my presence stood behind her.
As I watched her lips pull into a smile, I knew the goal was getting her to move in with me. The moment she caught me, her brush smacked me in the arm. I apologized for scaring her, but I wasn't going to say that I was sorry for admiring her. She is the girl that made me realize why I survived all of those times I thought I wouldn't.
When the melody halted, I looked up from my phone with confusion. A clicking sound came from behind me, gradually growing louder until my no longer curly-haired girl came into view. Injecting my veins with numbness, I dropped my phone at the sight of her beauty. I could feel my lips parting as my eyes trailed up those fucking boots I loved so much.
Her silky, straightened hair flipped over her shoulder as she searched for something I wasn't aware that was missing. I've never had heart palpitations, but when I saw her wearing a black t-shirt with my last name on it, I almost stopped existing. A black leather corset rested below her chest, making the shirt appear as a dress.
"Do you know where I put my purse?"
I leaned my elbows on my knees. "Did you check my room?"
"No," she scurried off.
"Thank you!" She yelled from a distance.
When she came back into the living room, I furrowed my eyebrows at her. There is no way someone as beautiful as she exists. My focus trailed up her thigh-high boots to the shirt hanging dangerously on her thighs. She crossed her hands over her body with a tint of pink swiping over her cheeks.
"Is it too much?" Her eyes dropped to her outfit until she became questionable as to why I didn't speak. "Kinnick?"
"No," I shake my head, sitting forward. "I don't think it's too much."
"Really?" She frowned. "Are you sure? If you don't want me to wear it, I can change. From what I hear, boyfriends don't like their girlfriends wearing clothing like this."
I scoffed, taking in her beauty. "You can wear whatever you want. I know how to fight."
My finger went in circles as I motioned for her to spin. "Give me a little twirl, baby."
A thousand-watt smile lit up her face, giving electricity to the world and putting fire in my heart. I watched time slow down for the girl as her hair fanned out around her. She stopped the planet, but my world revolved around her. I sucked my bottom lip into my mouth as I realized this was my girl.
I used two of my fingers to beckon her toward where I sat. "Come here."
Her strides were slow as her heels clicked closer to me. I felt impatient as I watched the distance close between us. So, my fingers curled around her arm, yanking her toward me. She held onto my shoulder as she encased my thighs with her own. I swallowed harshly as she settled over my lap.
