Chapter 2
About a few more hours passed on the plane. Nothing all that interesting happened except for a few conversations Wesley and I had. Random things to be honest. For example we talked about the seats. According to him they were a nice shade of blue but not very comfortable. I agreed with him.
Now we were sitting in comfortable silence. There was only about a half hour to go before the plane landed in California. That made me start thinking if I would ever see Wesley again after this. When I thought that I won't, I became sad about it. He was funny, hot and knew how to hold a conversation. He'd be the perfect friend...or boyfriend.
I mentally shook my head. I couldn't be thinking things like that. The fact is I just met him. I knew Wesley, but I didn't actually know him to be thinking of something like that.
“Kim,” he asked and I looked up at him from my phone, “ever head of Emblem 3?”
I thought genuinely for a second. Emblem 3?
“No. What is it?”
Wesley smiled and I turned my head to the side slightly. “Never mind.”
“Oookay.” I said turning back to my phone. I contemplated searching what Emblem 3 was but I decided against it. Grabbing my hand bag from the floor near my legs, I pulled out a mirror and looked at my self. Might as well fix my self up a bit before landing.
“Well, if you'll excuse me Wes.” I said standing up with my hand bag still in my grip. He pushed back slightly in the seat to give me more room to get to the isle. Making my way to the bathroom I passed the older lady from earlier. I tried not to look directly at. She was sleeping with her mouth wide open. I honestly felt bad for the person sitting next to her.
Anyways, when I made it to the bathroom I locked the door. Turning to look at myself in the giant mirror above the sink, I studied my outfit. Gray hoodie and skinny jeans. Good enough. Reaching into my hand bag I pulled out eyeliner and mascara. Leaning closer to the mirror I lined my top lid and added a little wing to the side. I lined only about a quarter of my bottom eye. After doing the same thing to the other side I grabbed my eyelash curler and curled my eyelashes. Lastly, I applied a good amount of mascara. Pulling back, I blinked and stared at my eyes, making sure the make up was neat and looked even.
Looking at my hair I couldn't help but frown at it. I didn't want it up in a bun. So I grabbed the hair tie and pulled it out. My chocolate brown hair feel to mid back and I ran my hair though it. I was surprised when it actually ended up looking decent. I guess the bun helped it become wavy. It was a little less wavy than what my natural hair is but it will have to do.
Putting my stuff away I looked in the mirror one last time before exiting the bathroom. Just as I did the pilots voice rang over the intercom.
“We will be preparing to land soon. Please put on your seat belts.”
When I finally made it back to my seat Wesley already had his seat belt on and he was listening to his Ipod. He didn't notice me standing next to me so I tapped him on the shoulders. He was blocking the way back to my seat. When his brown eyes came up to meet mine they widened for a second in surprise. As quick as it appeared, it ended though. He pushed himself back into the seat to allow me to sit in mine. I squeezed by him and then buckled my seat belt. From the corner of my eye I could see him looking at me so I looked back at him.
“What?” I asked, pushing a few strands of hair behind my ear.
“You look different.”
“Good or bad?” I asked. What if my makeup was already smudged? Or maybe it didn't look as good as I thought it had?
