Chapter 11
That morning Wesley and I feel asleep watching a movie. Actually we hardly even watched it since we both fell asleep like 10 minutes into it. When I woke up I was still resting on his chest with his arm wrapped tightly around me.
Looking up I couldn't help but smile at the peaceful expression on his face. His lips were slightly parted and I felt his chest rise and fall with every breathe he took. I could stay here with him for hours and not complain about it. Too bad I couldn't though. Surely I've been sleeping for a couple of hours and I would have to meet my sister soon.
After yawning, I slowly and carefully slipped out of Wesley's grasp. I thought I woke him up since he groaned in protest before letting me go and turning on his side so that he was facing me. I noticed a strand of his hair sticking up on his head and I giggled at it. The innocent peaceful face with the messed up hair was just too adorable on him.
Anyways, I stretched out my back before glancing over to the digital clock on the nightstand. I cursed at the time that was flashing in bright red. 2:17
Shit! How long have I been sleeping for?!
Quickly, forgetting for a moment that Wesley was sleeping beside me I cursed loudly while fumbling around for my phone. I couldn't find it and so I frantically started to search the bed for it. Shit, shit, shit, Hannah's gonna be so pissed at me!
In the process of finding my phone I woke up Wesley. He looked confused for a second before seeing me. When he did he smiled and muttered a good morning as he sat up.
“It's the afternoon.” I mumbled as I spotted my phone in the exact spot that Wesley had been laying. Reaching across him I grabbed it only to see several missed calls and three text messages.
“Damn it!” I cursed, unlocking the phone and clicking my sisters contacts. Wes asked me what was wrong but I just looked at him, signaling for him to wait. On the fourth ring, Hannah picked up.
“Where the hell were you?!” She screamed at me from over the phone. I saw Wesley cringe and I knew he was able to hear what she was saying since she was so loud. I opened my mouth to answer her but she continued. “You were suppose to meet me hours ago and you ditched me! Damn it Kim, my wedding is almost here and we haven't discussed anything about how it's gonna run! You know what, if you aren't going to take this seriously then you shouldn't even bother coming! It's not like you don't have a problem with not showing up to places you need to be at!”
I knew she was mad and that's why she was being so dramatic. That's how my sister is. But still, the words kinda hurt.
“Hannah, I am sooo sorry.” I said keeping my voice calm. “Something happened and-”
“Whatever Kim. I have things to do for this wedding. I can't talk right now.”
“Wait!-” And with that she hung up and I had the sudden urge to through my phone across the room. Without even thinking I raised my hand up ready to do just that but before the phone even left my hand Wesley grabbed it and pulled my hand back down.
“You'll regret that later.” He mumbled before taking my phone and setting it beside me. “I'm guessing you were suppose to meet up with your sister.”
“Yeah.” I mumbled as I flopped back on the bed, glaring at the ceiling. How could I have screwed this up. God knows that my sister and I already were on shaky terms. Suddently I felt the bed sink down next to me under Wes's weight as he laid down.
“She's gonna hate me.” I said.
“She's not gonna hate you.”
“You don't know my sister.”
