 Chapter 15

We stood like that for what seemed like endless hours. At first Wes's eyes stayed on mine in shock before looking at my beaten face. Instantly I turned my head to the side hoping that would be enough to cover myself from him. I didn't want him to see me like this.

Without a word, I quickly made my out of the bathroom pushing past Wesley, who still had a stunned look on his face. He didn't utter a single sound nor did he do anything but stare. Only when I made it half way down the stairs did I hear him call after me. I saw Drew at the bottom of the stairs finishing up a quick stretch of his arms above his head.

When he saw me I moved my head once again so that he wouldn't see my face either.

“Kim!” I heard Wes call out again but this time he was closer. I ran to the door and had ripped it about half way open before a hand came from behind me and slammed it shut.

“Wesley! Move!” I shouted, trying again to open the door but with Wes's hand pushing it closed, it wouldn't budge. I thought about running somewhere else and locking myself in a room but I dismissed that thought almost immediately. Mostly because he was too close to me and could stop me anyways.

“Look at me.” Wes demanded. I froze and didn't do what he wanted. From the corner of my eye I could see Tori enter the room. I couldn't see her well enough to see the look on her face. Even so, she said nothing and neither did Drew. They were just watching the events that would occur between Wes and I.

“No.” I muttered out. “Now move.”

“I'm not moving in till you look at me.”

I held my breath for a few seconds. Letting Wesley see me like this was one of the last things I wanted to do. He didn't need to see how weak I was or how hurt I was and I sure as hell didn't want him to feel any pity towards me....but he wasn’t giving me any other options.

Sighing I began to turn around slightly so that I would be facing him. I kept my head down though. Since he was taller than me it was easy to hide my face just by looking down. Once I was completely turned towards Wes I noticed that his body was so close to mine that I could feel the body heat just rolling off of him.

The room was completely quiet. No one spoke and no one moved for a couple of moments. Wes was the one to break that though. The hand that he had used to slam the door shut was now snaking it's way underneath my chin. Very lightly he lifted my chin making my face tilt upwards so that he could finally see what he wanted.

His eyes met mine before he broke the contact to look over the bruises. The entire time my eyes never left his wondering ones. I couldn't read the expression he had on his face and that kind of scared me. His face stayed serious and hard. Finally his eyes met mine again and he dropped his hand from my chin.

“Who did this to you?” He half whispered.

I stayed silent. Just thinking about saying the name made me want to cry. Wesley must have noticed because he broke eye contact with me to look over to Tori who had towels and what looked like to be some type of large bandages.

“Do you know who did this to her?” Wes asked. Tori glanced towards me and I shook my head towards her, silently pleading with her not to say anything. I'm sure Wesley had a clue as to who it was. The man isn't stupid. He just wanted to make sure.

Tori avoided my eyes and instead looked at Wes.

“It was Collin...” She said, still avoiding my eyes.

Without a second thought Wesley turned back to me. “C'mon, we're going to the police station.”

Instantly I grabbed onto Wesley's upper arm to stop him. “No!” I said more intensely than I intended too. He stopped.
