Chapter 3

I woke up to Tori knocking on my door. I muttered a loud 'Come in' and dug my face deeper into the pillow. I still wanted to sleep.

“Rise and shine, sunshine!” Tori yelled. She was too excited right now. What time was it anyway? As if reading my mind she spoke again.

“It's 9 O'clock and we are gonna go shopping. After that I have a surprise for you!” I turned to her and gave her a look.

“Are you crazy? It's too early to go shopping. Go back to bed!” With that I pulled the covers up to snuggle up some more. There was no way I was going to go shopping at 9 in the morning. Just when I thought I won and Tori was a gone I felt the covers ripped from my grasp and off of my body. The cold air hit me and I wanted to scream.

“Be dressed in 15 minutes. Ill be waiting downstairs.” She said happily. I growled when she left and muttered some colorful words. I just wanted to sleep some more.

Going into the bathroom I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I then did my make up. Not much though. My hair, I didn't touch and kept it natural in it's wavy/curly form. After, I got dressed in jean shorts and a black short sleeved shirt. For shoes, I put on some black gladiator sandals. When I looked at the digital clock, the one I set up on top of the night stand, it read 9:20. As if on cue I heard Tori yell from outside my door.

“Let's go!”

I grabbed my wallet and walked out of my room. When I went downstairs, I saw Tori waiting at the door, sunglasses on her head. She was wearing shorts with a pink v neck shirt. On her feet she wore gold gladiator sandals but they were a different style compared to mine. When she saw me she grinned.

“Nice legs.”

I laughed. “Thanks!”

With that we left the house and hit the stores.

After literally four hours of none stop shopping, Tori and I had bags piled on top of each other in her car. Her trunk and back seat were completely filled. My feet hurt and I was tired of shopping already but the stores in California were amazing. Some of them were a whole lot better than the ones in Rhode Island. I'm just glad I save up big bucks for this trip.

Now Tori and I were eating in her car. We had gone through a drive thru to get a quick bite before we continued on with whatever we were going to do next. That made me think, what exactly were we going to do now? Didn't she mention something about a surprise?

“Hey, what are we gonna do now?” I asked.

Tori grinned before answering. “Let's just say I got the hook up.”

I stayed quiet for a second. “You sound like you're talking about drugs.”

Tori laughed. “Oh, trust me, it's going to be much better than that. In fact we are going right now.”

I gave her a 'what the hell look' but she said nothing more. Instead she just turned the radio on louder and kept driving. After a few seconds we both broke out singing along to the radio. Tori was the better singer. In fact she was extremely amazing. I on the other hand wasn't that great. Actually I only sang when I was by myself and I knew no one could hear me. I wasn't horrible but I wasn't good but still. Singing wasn't my thing anyways.
