The Starr Trainer

Belle excitedly rushed off the plane, her bag thrown over her shoulder. Her smile overcame her face and her eyes glistened as she stared at the tall buildings that surrounded her. Her first stop would be the Lumiose Pokemon Center, where she would register herself for the Kalos League. She lifted one leg up, then the other, patting her poke balls, which were tied to a strap she had around her ankles. Three on each side.

"We made it guys. Today is our first step towards competing in the Kalos League!"

The busy streets and chatter made her stomach turn. Four years of training and she finally was going to compete for badges again. Also, Lumiose City was where Professor Sycamore studied; and she was hoping he could guide her towards getting the other two mega stones she needed. She wandered a bit until the red Pokeball logo caught her eye. She jumped up in the excitement and rushed over to the Pokemon Center.

When she stepped inside, the familiar face of Nurse Joy awaited her, but this one sported a different hairstyle. The pink color was the same, but her pigtails were worn in more U-shaped ways on the side of her head.

"Hello, welcome to the Pokemon Center," Nurse Joy greeted her.

"Hello. My name is Belle Starr and I am here to register for the Kalos League!" Belle exclaimed.

"Wonderful," Nurse Joy beamed, tilting her head with a smile. "We will fill out a form that you will take over to Professor Sycamore to get your updated Poke'dex and then you will be all registered."

Belle nodded and filled out the form that Nurse Joy gave her. Afterward, Nurse Joy took her picture and paper clipped it to the form. Belle stared down at it. Her bright red hair hung just above her shoulders and formed spiked triangle shapes at the bottom. Her large brown eyes looked determined. She wore a thick, white headband with a blue silhouette of a Dragonair embroidered on it. On her wrist, she wore a black, leather band that she had her Keystone sewn into. She looked up to Nurse Joy and nodded.

"Thank you, Nurse Joy. I am off to Professor Sycamore's lab!"

"Excellent, dear. Just head down that way and you'll be there in no time." She explained, pointing in the direction of Professor Sycamore's lab. "You are welcome to return to the Pokemon Center when it gets dark if you are staying the night here in Lumiose City."

"Thank you, I probably will be here tonight!" Belle exclaimed. "See you soon!"

Walking outside, she looked down at the forms and smiled. Gazing back up, she rushed towards Professor Sycamore's lab. Nurse Joy was right, heading in that direction was all she had to do because she was there in no time at all. She walked in and looked around interested in all the equipment they had operating.

"Hello?" Belle called out, walking further into the lab.

A moment later a tall man appeared. He had wavy black hair and deep blue eyes. A large white lab coat was worn over a bright blue shirt. He smiled curiously at Belle.

"Hello, may I help you?"

"My name is Belle Starr. My father told me that Professor Sycamore may be able to assist me on my quest for two specific mega stones I am after? Is he around?"

"Yes, he is!" The man beamed. "He is me!"

"Oh!" Belle said, her cheeks flushing in embarrassment. "I apologize, Professor. I should've known better."

"No worries. So you are the great Belle, Professor Starr has told me so much about. I am excited to meet you."

"The pleasure is mine," she returned, bowing her head. "Your research on mega evolution has helped me so much with training my Charizard."
