Belle and her Pokemon relocated Ash and his friends to a safe location and waited for them to wake up. Ash was the first to wake up. "What happened?" He asked, rubbing his eyes and looking around. "Where are we?"
"Safe," Belle responded as she ripped the bandage to tighten it on her arm.
"Are you alright?"
"Team Rocket knocked you guys out and came after me."
"I told you that Jesse and James were no good," Ash lectured.
"It wasn't just them. It was their boss Giovanni and dozens of other agents."
"What?" Ash asked, his eyes widened. "How did you escape?"
"Charizard and Dragonair saved me. I wanted to wait until you woke up. I don't think it's safe for me to travel with you guys. I put you and your pokemon in danger. I can't risk that again."
"Well, what about you?"
"I have a strong team. I'll be alright. I think I'm going to head out now since you're awake. Promise me that you'll be safe?"
"We will."
Belle walked off before he had a chance to try and change her mind. After an hour of walking, she knew that Ash and the others couldn't have caught up with her, but she couldn't help the feeling she had that she was being followed. She ran the rest of the way to Cyllage City and immediately checked into a hotel there. She didn't want to stay at a Pokemon center because she was certain that'd be the first place Team Rocket would look for her. She kept the drapes closed and the door locked. She hated feeling this way, but fear was overwhelming her. There was an entire army of people out there searching for her, waiting to steal her pokemon. She got away once, but what happened when she let her guard down? Even though it was still light out, she decided to try and get some rest, but she couldn't bring herself to sleep. Every time she laid down her breathing would become erratic and her heart would race. She finally settled in front of the door, so that if anyone tried to come in, she'd be ready. However, even with that plan in motion, her mind still wandered. She remembered the way he looked at her. Both before and just yesterday. The first time with such kindness and appreciation, then yesterday... None of this would be happening if she stuck to her path and didn't go off to help Team Rocket. Dragonair disobeyed and forced itself out of his Pokeball just to protect her because she wasn't strong enough to call him out herself. "How can I expect my Pokemon to be so strong, when I am so weak," she muttered, biting her tongue to stop her eyes from swelling with tears. "I'm never going to be a Dragon-Pokemon Master."
