Belle blinked and felt her head being pulled back. The liquid ran down her throat and she was thankful for the short burst of strength it gave her.
"Belle, please. I can't watch you suffer anymore. I can't."
Belle chuckled weakly, "now you care?"
"I shouldn't, but I do. I can't stand watching your suffering."
"Then look away."
"Belle, please. Please just do as he asks. If you don't he's going to escalate things."
She coughed small amounts of blood on the ground before her. James's worry grew. "If I don't. What happens to the Pokemon?"
"Glad you asked," Giovanni smirked. The guards grabbed her, her legs trailing as they dragged her into the stadium. They tossed her to the ground. James was brought in with restraints. "Let me show you how we will train them if you won't." Belle tried to push herself up but could only muster the strength to use her elbow to prop her up. "Rhyhorn, charge."
Belle looked up seeing the Pokemon rushing towards her. "wait, don't" Belle said trying to be loud, but her voice wasn't strong enough.
"You're going to kill her!" James cried out.
She closed her eyes but opened them when she heard the impact of a hyper beam. "Dragonair?" She whispered. She felt his body wrap around her neck and his head rest against her own. "You came for me?" Her eyes teared up.
"Your little worm should've stayed missing!" Giovanni exclaimed. "Foolish pokemon to think he could win this battle alone."
"He's not alone," Ash exclaimed. Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie are by his side. "And I have a feeling you messed with the wrong dragon trainer." Ash slid her pokeballs towards her. She opened them all, Charizard helping her stand.
"Ash is right. Let me show you just why you wanted me so badly." Belle turned seeing the large steel door of the building and looked at Giovanni. Dragonair stays with me, the rest of you give it all you got at that door! Ash and the rest of them followed suit. Giovanni ordered his Rockets to defend the door. He was about to follow them to assist but stopped when Belle called him out. "Running so soon, Giovanni?"
"Something you surely can't do, hm?" He gestured to her collapsing leg. She was doing her best not to acknowledge the pain coming from it. The throbbing of the relentless beedrill stings. "I'm done running."
"Hm. Let's make this interesting." He pulled out his phone and typed something. A Pokeball made its way down a conveyor belt. He grabbed it and threw it out. "I noticed your everyone on your little worm. I'll show you why that's a mistake." A Dragonite roared, meeting Belle and Dragonair's glare.
"Evolution doesn't equal strength. Dragonair, aqua tail!"
"Grab that puny worm and squash him. Dragonite use slam."
"You know how to dodge it!" Dragonair turned itself into a circle, rolling like a wheel around Dragonite, who after a few seconds leaped and came crashing down attempting to slam Dragonair, but missing. Dragonair flew up and followed through with aqua tail landing the first attack.
"Use its move against him. Aqua tail!"
"Fly up! Dragonair launched itself using its small wings to fly. "Use agility to gain the speed and follow through with dragon rush."
"What? Using two moves at once?" Giovanni regained his composure, "counter with your own dragon rush!"
Dragonite tried to land the attack on Dragonair, but with the speed of its agility while flying it was unstoppable. Dragonair launched towards Dragonite without a moment's notice and landed the attack. Dragonite cried out.
"Finish it with a solar beam!" Light shone through as the steel door opened and all of the captured pokemon ran out. Dragonair glowed building up its solar beam, releasing it at Dragonite, striking it down, and leaving the Pokemon unconscious.
"How? Forget it, Rockets grab her and the Dragonair!"
"Helicopter solar beam!" Dragonair flew up and released another powerful solar beam but this time it spun around like a helicopter's blades hitting all the Rockets that came their way. When the smoke settled, Belle smirked. "It's over, Giovanni. You'll let me leave now."
"Why would I do that?"
"Belle!" James cried out. She turned seeing a hoard of beedrill around James waiting for their queue. She tried to find a quick enough escape for him, but there wouldn't be any way quick enough.
"Leave him be!" Belle demanded.
"He won't be hurt. I'm going to back away into my helicopter. You will not interfere or else James will be the one hurt."
"Fine." Belle sighed. She turned to Dragonair, "go get Charizard we need a quick way out of here."
Giovanni crawled into the helicopter. "Oh, by the way, Belle." She turned to him. "Those were never for James." She gasped realizing it was too late. One snap and the hoard came for her. Every last needle stabbed into her. She heard James cry out for her, but couldn't see as everything darkened around her.
"Help," she whispered with the remainder of her strength. Another snap sounded and she could feel herself being lifted up, everything becoming dark.
