KILLING THE CULLENS wasn't exactly an easy thing to go about doing. Vampires had a shared strength. They were good at fighting due to their high agility, increased speed and their ability to rip people to shreds with very little effort however this was a capability that all Vampires shared. Therefore in order to defeat another vampire, the best chance they had was learning all they could about the Cullens.

Nova was different in those next few weeks. Estella had once seen her as a friend, someone to rely on, someone comforting. Now it was as though the real monster seeped through her skin, darkening eyes followed the coven wherever they went. Everything had to be done perfectly, anything less and she'd blow a fuse.

She believed that this job was her calling, as though killing the Cullens was what she had been designed for. That glint in Aro's eye had been mirrored in her own and now she wouldn't shake it. Suddenly the coven wasn't a group of friends but a tightly bound group of soldiers desperately trying to complete the needs of the Volturi.

Estella found that since the trip to Italy, she started disliking Nova more and more. Maybe even more than Quinn. At least Quinn was an open annoyance, Nova didn't even realise how crude and controlling she was being over people who had followed her for decades.

She was surprised at how easily the coven followed suit, her included. Quinn would still do anything for Nova, in his twisted mind every instruction he was given was a sign that she felt the same way that he did. That she was giving him a chance at everything. It's as though he had forgotten Nova's desperate eyes as she pleaded with Aro to let her join him.

Laurent was a strange character. Este hadn't believed he would've taken the instruction so lightly, that he would've rolled over under Nova's every command. Este guessed he too wanted some sense of glory from Aro, or maybe he was scared of what the consequences of failure would mean for them.

Estella was not scared. She didn't believe that the Volturi could kill them without cause and this wasn't cause enough. Aro hadn't even explicitly told them to go and murder the Cullens so he could finally steal Edward and Alice Cullen for his personal collection. Of course that's what he wanted but if they didn't succeed, he'd probably just find more awestruck people to manipulate.

However, in Nova's mind this would never be a problem. Failure wasn't an option and with the right amount of knowledge and careful preparation there was no reason towards why they should fail.

Estella was not in the same mindset of any of her coven. She did not wish to join the Volturi, she would not do anything to appease Nova and she was not scared of what the Volturi would do if they got something wrong.
