ESTELLA BOOKED HERSELF BACK INTO A HOTEL. She wasn't even sure why, it was waste of money considering she didn't need to sleep. But she liked having somewhere to be, wandering around outside got tiring regardless of her inhumanness. Plus the storm was making it hard to concentrate on anything.

Este took a warm shower and changed into some clothes that weren't sopping wet. She placed her boots to dry under the radiator and rifled through her bag which she'd collected from the Cullens a few days ago. Everything inside of it looked ruined. The pages of her books were curling from the damp and she had only packed a few outfits from Alice's designed closet.

She pulled her jumper around her and lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Este didn't know what she was doing now. If she had the freedom she would be leaving just as she'd been planning on doing at New Years but she couldn't run away without making sure that the Cullens were safe.

Going after the coven on her own would be a big mistake. She'd been hoping the Volturi would change their minds after her speech but since Alice's vision hadn't changed, that didn't seem likely. Last time she'd checked the coven had added up to five fully formed vampires not to mention the new born army, there was no way she'd stand a chance.

Of course she could try talking to them again but considering how it had gone last time she doubted it would do her any good. Nova wasn't one to listen and Este didn't like the idea of wasting her time. It seemed impossible that she'd be able to pull together an army and even if she could, the thought sounded ridiculous. Why would Este want an army?

Even if she could bite humans without getting the urge and craze to go back to hunting them, she would draw too much attention to herself. She couldn't control an army of newborns on her own. Este guessed that her coven had struggled between the five of them. New borns were erratic and unpredictable. More trouble than they were worth. Not to mention they were more powerful when young.

Estella was surprised that hadn't exposed themselves by now. Maintaining the new born army would be difficult. It also wasn't good for the Cullens. Jasper had history with new borns, Este hoped that would work out in her favour. She had no idea how much time they had anymore. Her knowledge of the coven was wearing thin and she hadn't seen them in a while. For all she knew they could be attacking now.

The idea that she'd left the Cullens under the threat of battle made her sit up in shock. It took a moment for Este to calm herself down. If they were attacking now, Alice would have seen it. Este would already know about it. She sighed, lying back down and staring at the ceiling.
