Melody's POV
"Kol, do you think I am making the right decision?" I questioned as Rebekah braided my hair.
"Of course you and Elijah are literally the perfect couple. You could never find someone as perfect for you as him. And I'm not just saying that as I am his brother but even my Mother agrees and so does my Father," He smiled softly squeezing my hand encouragingly.
"Never doubt this Mel, I know we're vampire's and you aren't but he'll always respect your decision on whether you want to be one or not. I know your main doubt is because of Niklaus but don't worry about him, as even he can see Elijah is the only one you could love," Rebekah smiled leaning around me so I could see her.
I exhaled a deep breath as I finally felt content with my emotions. Elijah and I had been in a relationship for a long while and finally we were going to get married.
Just his brother Niklaus was completely against me being in a relationship with Elijah as he wanted me to be with him. He always had, but his various attempts for my affection never actually worked as I loved Elijah more than I ever could love Niklaus.
His Mother and Father weren't the best people in the world as they had turned their children into vampires when their youngest sibling died due to a werewolf attack. I never lost faith in my love for Elijah though. His siblings (other than Niklaus) were very supportive. This was mainly because I was best friends with his younger siblings Kol and Rebekah, and his older brother Finn liked me as I wasn't a strumpet like most of the girls Niklaus and Elijah had previous liked.
"Done," Rebekah smiled as my hair was finished.
"Thank you Rebekah I couldn't ask for anything more from you than your support and help," I smiled in return.
With that I stood up flattening the skirt of my dress as I prepared to go marry the man I loved. Once Rebekah confirmed I looked okay they went to get ready for the small wedding that was only involving my future family as I didn't have any family of my own.
The other Mikaelson's were stood around near Elijah who was stood next to a man that I had never seen before but he was probably the man who was holding the wedding.
The wedding was short and soon enough I was sat with my now husband on the grass facing the lake near our home.
"Thank you for marrying me Melody, I don't know what my life would be like without you," He smiled warmly pecking my lips.
"I honestly have to thank you, who knew what would have happened to me if I hadn't found my true love and joined his family," I smiled in response.
He chuckled softly pulling me into a warm embrace allowing me to sit in his lap and lay my head in the croak of his neck.
"I love you Elijah," I whispered softly.
"I love you too Melody," He said quietly.
There was nothing in the world I would have rather done than sit calmly with the one I love in just a moment of pure happiness. Even though we said no words for a while it was still a time I found more enjoyable than ever expected.
Slowly the night began to roll in and I knew that tonight would be a full moon meaning that the dangers that would lurk, could result in a fatal attack.
"Elijah it is getting late, we should go back home before the werewolves come out, I don't want anything bad to happen," I said softly standing up.
"I'll catch up with you, I need to find something to eat," He stated calmly.
I knew what he meant; as he needed to drink blood but he'd never directly tell me that. I respected that and I was glad that he cared enough to not tell me that he was going to drink innocent human's blood.
"Okay, I'll see you later," I smiled as he stood up and kissed my cheek.
I smiled at him as I pulled my dress up slightly so I could easily walk without the risk of tripping over the hem of it.
As I walked away from him, I began to make my way back to him home- well my home. I knew my way to get there as Elijah and I had come here many times.
Whilst I walked I made sure I was careful as I wasn't sure what time the werewolves would start coming out.
"Melody," A familiar voice called out.
"Niklaus, is that you?" I called out in response as he came into my view.
He smiled softly at me as he came over to me before stopping about a metre from me.
"Why are you walking on your own Melody, where is Elijah?" He asked.
"He went to feed, so I am walking back home on my own," I smiled.
Although Niklaus was obsessed in splitting Elijah and I up, he cared about my welfare meaning he'd make sure nothing bad could ever happen to me.
"I'm surprised he didn't turn you into a vampire, how romantic would that be getting married then knowing you have eternity together," He smirked, "But instead you aren't going to have that as you broke my heart."
I didn't know what he meant until he took one step towards me biting his wrist and covering my mouth with it. There was no way I could help the blood trickling down my throat as he tipped my head back so gravity took its effect.
As he pulled his arm away from me I gasped for air.
"What are you doing Niklaus?" I gasped trying to get my breathing steady once again.
"Turning you into a vampire myself," He chuckled gripping my head, "Goodnight Melody."
With that everything became black.

As light flooded into my eyes a burning sensation arose. My eyes and throat burned a pain of hunger surged throughout my body.
As I looked around the room I was lying in I saw Niklaus sat by my side
"What did you do?" I hissed sitting up.
A strong smell of blood hit my nose, looking to Niklaus I saw a lifeless girl on the floor. Without even thinking I simply pounced onto her drinking from her open wound on her neck. The burning didn't hurt as much as before and now it was just the small amounts of sunlight burning my skin.
"Put this on," He demanded handing me a simple gold ring with a blue stone in.
I did as I was told, as I slipped on the ring the burning literally stopped at that moment. I sighed as the pain stopped.
"What have you done to me?" I groaned, "Why am I like this?"
The tears built up in my eyes as he began to respond.
"You my love are now a vampire. You will live eternity without being able to see Elijah as he would hate you if he knew you were turned by someone other than him," He chuckled.
"But if I tell him, he'll try to kill you, so it's a lose lose situation," I frowned standing up on my wobbly legs.
"Yes but I win seeing you in pain. If I can't have you my brother certainly can't," He chuckled with an evil glint in his eyes.
I knew I only had one choice. Telling Elijah wouldn't help me, he would never see me as me ever again. Even though Niklaus had destroyed his own relationship with his family, I wasn't going to let them know about it as it would just get worse.
"You're right, I can't be with Elijah. But I can't be with you, either. So I am leaving for good. You can tell Elijah that I am dead, or a vampire or that I don't love him, or anything you want him to know but just make sure whatever you tell him, makes it clear that I am never coming back. I can't handle him seeing me this way, and I don't care what he thinks of me as long as I know he knew I loved him at some point," I sighed.
With that I walked out of the small room. I had no idea what I needed to do being a vampire but I hoped instinct would cover everything that would keep me alive for a while.
