Tori’s POV
The darkness became slightly lighter as I sat up. Although it was the evening the moon was a lot brighter than ever before. And even though no one was on the street I could still here conversations going on.
Within an instant I knew what had happened to me. My brothers, vampire had turned me into one. Why Katherine would kill me when she knew I had her blood in my system was beyond me but all I knew was I only had a matter of hours to find somewhere to hide throughout the day.
I shouldn’t really know about vampires, it wasn’t something a young woman should know about, but I was very good at listening in on my Father’s conversations. Everything him and the other men of the town discussed I would hear.
A figure began to walk closer to me until I could tell who it was. It was Emily Bennett, Katherine’s witch friend. I knew she was a witch long before I learnt about Katherine, but Emily was extremely nice and would never hurt anyone.
“Victoria, you need to come with me. Your Father and the other founders are trying to wipe out vampires. They have Katherine and I know she turned you, so you need to come with me so I can stop you being killed and I can stop the sun from harming you as well,” She smiled softly.
“Emily why are you trying to help me?” I questioned.
I liked Emily, she was a nice person but I had never spoken to her other than an odd hello.
“You’re collateral damage in Katherine’s game of life. You didn’t deserve to die, so I am going to make sure you can have a second chance,” She smiled.
“Thank you,” I smiled back.
Honestly, I was surprised she wanted to help me, but she was a witch and was capable of practically anything.
“Come on we should go now, before they find you,” She stated leading me off in the direction I think her home was in.
The evening was cold and breezy but I knew the walk couldn’t be too far. My shoes were un-comfortable and my dress wasn’t the most pleasant thing in the world to move in but it was what I was supposed to wear so I did.
The smell of blood filled my nose and a pain shot through my gums. I ran my finger along where the pain was revealing sharpened teeth. Groaning in pain Emily turned to look at me. She looked confused at first but then realisation swept over her.
Without even thinking I let my legs run towards the luxurious smell. I was faster than any human; I guess that was an aspect of being a vampire. Within seconds I was standing next to the blood source.
I looked down to see my brothers with bullet wounds in their chests. A lump formed in my throat as I saw their dead forms on the floor.
The blood lust was completely gone and a pain panged in my chest. I collapsed on the floor holding Damon in my arms allowing myself to sob.
After a few minutes a breathless Emily appeared.
“Emily, they’re dead. My brothers are dead,” I sobbed.
“No there not Victoria. They are transitioning into vampires. Katherine has been feeding them her blood, they will be okay. We need to get them to my home so I can help them like I will you,” She smiled softly.
“Okay,” I said taking a breath, “I think I know where you live, I’ll take Damon there now, and you stay here with Stefan and I’ll come back for him, as I can carry them easily.”
“Be safe and I’ll be here,” She stated with a weak smile.
I lifted Damon up and carried him to Emily’s home. He wasn’t heavy like he should be, but I guess being a vampire make me stronger. I laid him on the grass next to the river bank outside of Emily’s house. Quickly I went back to Emily and got Stefan before walking with her back to her home.
