I cover my mouth to muffle my scream as I look around the kitchen in surprise, the whole room was covered in balloons, some that floated and others were scattered across the ground. There was also a huge banner hanging across the wall saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILIA". I looked at my family with a mixture of confusion and surprise as they all screamed.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY", at the top of theirs lungs and popped confetti onto me. I laughed but titled my head. "This is amazing guys but its not my birthday", I say and mom shakes her head.
"We know you have always celebrated it in March but today is the actual day you were born, we didn't want to tell you so that we could surprise you", she said and I smiled at her as tears welled up in my eyes.
"Wow this is amazing", I said as everyone took turns hugging me and wishing my happy birthday, even Mario which put a huge smile on my face. Maybe he's finally starting to like me.
"Come sit down and open presents", Aaron said jumping up and down while pushing me towards the dining table which was covered in presents and a beautiful cake sat in the middle of the cake.

I gasped again at the sight of everything as a tear made its way down my cheek which I quickly wiped away.
"Thank you guys so much, I don't remember the last time I celebrated my birthday", I said and dad came to hug me. "Well every year from now on will be amazing", he said and it made me smile brightly.
"Alright blow out your candles", mom said as she recorded everyone singing happy birthday to me. I blew out the candles and made a wish. 'I hope I can stay with my family forever'.
"what did you wish for" Noah asked me and Rodrigo pocked his violently "Its bad luck for her to tell you tonto" (stupid)
I laugh as mom starts cutting the cake into slices and handing it out to everyone staring with me. "what about breakfast?"
"On birthdays we are allowed to have cake for breakfast", Aaron says stuffing his face quickly and then asking for a second slice seconds later claiming the first slice was too small.
