December - 2 weeks before Christmas
"So have you ever been ice skating before?", Derek asked me as he drove us to the centre of Chicago. I shook my head no.
"Well that's what we are doing today", he said to be and I smiled at him "really?", I questioned and he nodded his head in response. I jumped up and down in my seat in excitement. I have never been ice skating and sure I am a little afraid but I am sure Derek will take care of me.
Its been over a month of me and Derek knowing each other, we have been going out almost twice a week and its been so much fun, he still hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend but I am hoping he is just waiting for the tight time to ask me.
After mine and Liam's conversation in the kitchen I haven't seen him, he left to go back to England for the holidays, they should be moving here in the new year. The full month of December so far as been so hectic.
We have had so many events since my family is in the business world and also my school has a whole old of events. We had a fundraiser for charity and also a non uniform dad where we had to wear ugly Christmas sweaters. It was so fun my and my friends pulled our names out of a hat and decorated each others sweaters.
I had Johnny and Lucy had me and lets just say we weren't nice about the decorations.
We also decorated our Christmas tree as a family and it was such a great experience, I was even allowed to put the star on the top since I was the youngest. Also there is so many presents under the tree already.
Next week is the Christmas Ball in our school and I am so excited, I also need to buy Christmas presents for my family and friends, I just don't know who to go with yet and I don't really want to go alone.
We pulled up to a parking space full of cars and I got out and looked around. It was beautiful, there was a huge ice rings white a Christmas tree decorated full of lights in the middle.
We walked holding hands over to get some skates and I saw little kids skating while holding onto these penguins figures. I laughed and pointed at them "I think I will need one of those", I aid and heard David laugh too "I will be your penguin alright", he said and I nodded.
He lead me to sit on some benches while he left to pay and get our skates. I looked around and admired the view of everything, taking it in. My life has been a bliss for the past few months and I honestly can't get enough of it, but there is a thought at the back of my head telling me it won't last and I don't know how much longer I can push the thought aside.
"Here you go doll", Derek said handing me my skates "Thank you", I said taking them from you.

"Alright just hold my hand and the wall and you should be able to steady yourself", I nodded and held his gloved hand tightly. I stepped on the ice and started slipping around but was able to catch myself luckily. I laughed and saw Derek shaking his head in amusement.
