Logan's next class, Basics of Business, went without incident, except for when he saw the boy in the hallway. He had tried making eye contact, but the boy quickly looked away, and continued in the opposite direction.

"Now I'm even more confused," Logan thought. "Why is he avoiding me? Did I do something wrong?" He racked his memory to remember every detail when he accidentally bumped into him, and tried to remember everything that was said. Logan couldn't think of anything that would make him stay away from him to the point of not even making eye contact. Logan couldn't focus during English nor Algebra, the boy was all that was on his mind. Logan walked to the lunch line, and looked at his options.

"Tacos, pizza, or some pre-made sandwich shit. Guess I'm having pizza again," Logan said to himself, disappointed with the cafeteria food. He paid for his food, and sat down at Greyson's table.

"Hi Logan, what's up?" Greyson asked.

"Uh, nothing much," Logan replied. "I know this is really stupid, but I can't stop thinking about it," Logan started.

"It's not stupid if you can't stop thinking about it, Logan. Is it about yesterday?" Greyson asked.

"No, no, nothing about yesterday. I accidentally bumped into this guy this morning and knocked over his stuff. I helped pick everything up but he barely looked at me, and he avoided eye contact with me in the halls. Did I do something wrong?" Logan said, relieved to get it off his chest.

"Nope, you definitely didn't do anything wrong, unless you said something. You would've known if you said something wrong. I don't get why you would be so stressed over this," Greyson said, confused.

"I left something out," Logan started. "When he first talked to me when I knocked over his things, his face turned red, and I don't know why. Now that I think about it, he probably avoided looking at me because he didn't want to reveal to me that he was turning red. But why? It doesn't make sense why he would turn red over something like this," Logan said, becoming increasingly confused with the situation.

Greyson thought for a moment and said, "You know, I actually don't know. What situations do you turn red in?" Greyson asked.

"Well, only when I'm really embarrassed, like trip and fall in front of everyone," Logan said, still confused. Greyson was about to say something, but hesitated. He didn't want to confuse Logan even more. As long as he didn't ask.

"Is there any other reason someone might turn red?" Logan asked.

"Dammit, just what I needed not to happen," Greyson thought. He couldn't lie to Logan though.

"Well," Greyson started. "another reason someone might turn red..." Greyson paused, really not wanting to say the last part of his sentence. He took a deep breath, and continued, "is when they're around their crush," Greyson said with a low voice. Logan looked at him with a puzzled expression. Greyson could see him put together the pieces in his mind.

"Wait, so does that mean he has a crush on me?" Logan asked genuinely.

"It's unlikely for someone to like someone they have never met, but I guess it's possible," Greyson said.

"If it's not that then what else would it be?" Logan questioned. Greyson paused before answering, "I don't know, Logan. It's possible. Why don't you go talk to him and see how he reacts?" Greyson asked.

"Yeah, that's a good idea," Logan replied. They finished their lunch, and Logan walked to his next class, which was Spanish. Spanish went without anything interesting, and biology was boring as always.

Finally, Logan walked up to the library to have his break for the day. He sat down at his usual table, and took out his biology workbook to finish a few questions. While scribbling down an answer, Logan heard movement around him. He looked up, and there was the boy, sitting at the table next to him.

"This would be a good chance to talk to him," Logan thought. He went to stand up, but paused. "He's probably busy right now, and we're in the library so this isn't the best place." Logan sat back down. "What if this is my only chance?" He questioned himself.

"I'll see him tomorrow, I don't have to do it today."

"But what if he's overthinking it and he's super stressed over it? He would be relieved if you said something."

"Would he really be relieved, or would that just make him more stressed?" Logan continued to question if he should talk to him or not, and he found himself staring at the boy.

"Oh shit, how long was I staring at him?" Logan frantically asked himself. He looked at his watch. "Fuck me," he cursed under his breath. He had been staring at him for over 5 minutes.

"I wonder if he noticed or not. I hope I didn't creep him out," Logan thought. He shook himself out of that thought, and finished the last couple of questions on his biology homework. Logan looked at the clock. He still had 20 minutes left of his open period. Logan opened his computer, plugged in his earbuds, and opened a Spotify tab and played the Daily Drive.

He looked up at the boy again. The boy was sitting there with his legs crossed, typing on his computer. Logan blinked, and then went back to looking at his own computer screen. But he had the urge to look at him again. Logan was confused, but he didn't question himself. He glanced up, right into the boy's eyes staring back at him. Both of them quickly snapped their heads back to their computer screens.

"What the fuck was I thinking?" Logan cursed to himself. "I was so fucking stupid. God, this is so awkward now." Logan suddenly found himself turning red.

"Wait, what's happening?" Logan asked himself in a panic. "Why is my face turning red?" He hid behind his computer screen so no one could see him. "Why is this happening?" Logan took some deep breaths and switched his music to calming music. He sat there silently until the bell rang.

When Logan sat down in art class, he checked his phone. There was a text message from his mom. It said, "Remember you have FBLA after school today, I will pick you up at 5." Logan sighed. He had forgotten about FBLA today. The competition was in 4 weeks, and he still didn't have a partner. Without a partner, he'll have to do double the work, double the speaking, and halve his chances of winning.

"Just focus on art for now," Logan told himself. "They might have a partner for me today, they said that they were working on it at the last meeting." Logan focused on his art project, starting to add the base colors. He looked at his sketch for reference while he colored lightly with a colored pencil. Logan was swept away from reality as he finished his base colors and started to shade with color. He was so focused on shading he completely lost track of time. The bell rang, disrupting his focus. Logan quickly put his supplies away and grabbed his backpack. He walked to the marketing classroom.
