A/N - Well here we are, the last chapter of Flip of a Coin. I've a great time working on it. I'm glad to be so close to finishing but also upset. Although, there will be a sequel coming and I'm super excited to begin working on it and sharing it with you. I will probably start posting it in a couple of weeks but for now, let me begin the final chapter of this book. It is going to be switching between the perspectives of Asher and Eden so bare that in mind. I will clearly state when it switches though. Now let's kick it off with Eden's POV.

Today's the day. I'm so excited to perform with my boyfriend and also Jess who I can see being one of my close friends in the near future. We've been sitting together in Science waiting for the bell to go so we can head over to the hall for sound checks. I'm hoping that we will really smash it today and I have great confidence in the three of us. I've been practising a lot lately and am so ready to do this. In science we are currently learning about Chemical Reactions. I'm actually pretty good at science and enjoy it although maths and music are better. We only have like 5 minutes left but the time is going by so slowly. "5 minutes..." I say.

"I know, one step closer to getting to perform," Asher says.

Asher's POV

"I can't wait," I say with nerves flooding me. I have no idea how Eden's going to react and I have no idea how I'm going to tell her after our performance. All I know is that it's going to be hard and I'm not looking forward to telling her.

Bringggggggg

Phew. The bell has rung and we are finally able to run sound checks. It's the most exciting thing ever and ugh... I really can't wait. I stand up and throw my bag on to my back. Eden and Jess who are sitting on either side of me do the same. The second we are dismissed we make a beeline for the door.

"Good luck you three," our science teacher says.

"Thanks," the three of us say in sync as we bolt out the door and make our way to the hall. We approach the hall in silence and Eden rushes in.

"This is it," she says. I catch up to her knowing today is going to be hard. I'm excited to perform and nervous to see Eden's reaction and I'm terrified of telling her what's happening. One thing I know for sure is that it's going to be very hard. Very hard indeed. I wrap my arm around her leaving Jess a few steps behind.

...

Our sound check went well and Eden still has no idea about the special lyrics I wrote for her. We are sitting in the front row in the hall with the other performers. I can feel the nerves creeping through my body as the rest of the school begins to fill the hall at a very fast pace. Jess, Eden and I are going to be the fourth performance. I sit there fiddling around nervously with my fingers. Mrs Williams and Mrs Taylor begin to make their way up onto the stage. Things are getting real very quickly. "Hello and welcome to this years school talent show, To start things off I would like to invite Amy, Dayna, Ally and Finn to the stage," Mrs Williams announces. The four of them stand up from their seats. Amy and Dayna have their violins, Ally has her viola and Finn waits. They walk up the steps and get their stands and music set up. Finn collects his cello from the side of the stage. Mrs Taylor hands Amy a microphone and she introduces their performance.

"Hi, so today we have an original string quartet to share with you all," Amy says and hands the mic back to Mrs Taylor. I see Ally beginning to tap her foot and they all get their instruments ready to play. Silence. The silence is broken when they all bow a single note. Finn begins playing a simple tune and the others slowly incorporate their parts in creating an amazing sound. The high notes from the violins fit perfectly with the low notes from the cello. The viola takes the stage at one point and Ally nails it. I don't know how long she has played for but gees she is really good. I was asked to be in their group but said no because I really wanted to share this opportunity with Eden. Their performance is quite short but very sweet. I loved it and so did the audience which was made obvious when they erupted into applause. They left the stage and Mrs Taylor took their place.
