The clicking of pens, the rustling of paper and the ticking of the clock are the sound that can be heard. Only 2 minutes left now. My heart rate increases as I begin to freak out. Wh...what if he forgets? What if... he just said yes to be nice to me? What if he's only been leading me on? I tear my hairtie out of my shoulder length brown hair. I comb it out with my fingers before tying it up into a neater pony tail. I take my glasses off and clean them with the sleeve of my jersey. I tidy things up, one thing at a time before I am interrupted by the loud ring of the bell fills the room. Chaos errupts turning the silent room into a farm of crazy animals. I shove my books in my back and stand quietly behind my desk.

"I hope you all have a fantastic afternoon and I think I have you again tomorrow," the substitute teacher tells us as we all scratch the door like a pack of wild animals. The door opens and a herd of students push through the small door. I rush down the hallway almost tripping over just before reaching my locker. I snatch my keys out of my pocket and unlock my locker. The world around me is chaos and the slamming of locker doors is loud. I grab the books I need and am about to put them in my bag when warm arms are wrapped around me.

"Hey Eden," a voice escapes the warm figure.

"Hey Asher, I see you remembered," I say.

"Yep and I can't wait," he replies. He releases his grip allowing me to put my books in my bag so we can get going. "How was your last class?"

"Um... good I guess, we had a substitute teacher who didn't even introduce herself."

"Oh, I had English and it was actually fun today," he tells me as we begin to walk down the hallway and manover our way outside. Asher walks with his arms by his sides like me. I look down and can see his fingers searching for mine. I move my hand a bit closer to his and he wraps his fingers around mine when our hands collide. I shake my fingers out of the numbingly strong grip. "Too soon," he asks and I reply with a single nod.

"Ooh, who's the lucky girl Asher?" a voice escapes from a random guy.

"This is Eden and we aren't in a relationship..." he says. My head drops and the beating of my heart overtakes my whole body.

"Hah. yet..." the guy adds. Asher turns to me with a reassuring face. I know I shouldn't be worrying about it. Asher must like me, It's obvious... isn't it?
