Sitting in a boring class doing a bit of music theory I've known since I was like 10 isn't very fun. I look up from my work and am greeted with Asher's eyes who appear to have been staring at me for quite a bit of time already. A smile appears on his gorgeous face. Those blue eyes shining like the sea on a hot summers' day. He runs his fingers through his brown hair and I look down with a cute smile. I turn towards the clock and notice that it's almost date time!
Bringggggggg
The bell turns the once silent class into a chaotic mess. I shove my books into my bag and throw my bag onto my back. "Thanks, See you tomorrow," Mrs Taylor says and everyone bolts out the door leaving me and Asher walking out together.
We make our way into the hallway and Asher grabs my hands and helps us find a way out of the building. He lets go a second before we escape the crowded hallway so that no one will see that we were ever holding hands. "Hey Asher, Hey Eden!"
"Oh Hey Grace, I am really truly sorry and I'll call you tonight and I will see if you can come over tomorrow after school," I say. I turn to Asher and look him in the eyes and smile at the sparkle. I turn back to Grace to hear her response.
"Okay, that should be ok, thanks. You two are so cute, What are you doing this afternoon?" she asks.
"Um... well it's a surprise, Asher doesn't know."
"Oh, well I hope it all goes well," she says whilst beginning to walk towards the school gates several feet in front of us. We stop for a bit as Asher checks his phone.
"Look who we have here, Asher and Eden," a familar boy says.
"Hi Thomas," Asher replies nervously.
"How's the relationship going for ya?" Thomas asks.
"We aren't in a relationship...?" I choke out.
"Oh really... I seem to think that's false!" he shouts out as he turns around and leaves us alone.
"Did you tell anyone?" I whisper in Asher's ear.
"No, I promise," he replies. We are silenced and walk out the school gates and continue on our journey to the new ice cream shop. Asher has no idea where I am taking him or what it is that I want to say to him. I know one thing though... I think it's time I tell him...
