The next few months passed fairly quickly. One day during March, I was in the kitchen cleaning when I heard a loud pop from outside. I drew my wand out, and rushing out, I saw a house-elf holding onto Luna Lovegood, Dean Thomas and Garrick Ollivander.

The three of them looked horrible.

"What in the name of- BILL GET OUT HERE NOW!"

Bill came rushing out. "Fawn what's-?"

The house-elf turned to me. "Ronald Wheezy told Dobby to bring his friends to Bill and Fawn, Shell Cottage on the outskirts of Tinsworth!"

"Ron?" Bill asked. "What?"

"Wheezy?" I couldn't help saying.

"Dobby must go save Harry Potter and his friends!" The house-elf Dobby Disapparated.

Bill and I turned to the others. Ollivander looked half-dead, and so Bill and I carried him to a room. We all went back outside to see Harry kneeling down, Griphook the goblin, and Ron carrying Hermione.

"What happened?" I asked.

Ron shook his head and Bill helped him bring Hermione into the house. Then, Bill, Luna, Dean and I went back outside to Harry, who was holding onto Dobby's lifeless body. I gasped.

"Dobby.....Dobby...." Harry cried.

But Dobby was gone. I felt tears spring into my eyes. I didn't know Dobby, but I knew that he died to save the others.

Harry looked up with red eyes. "Hermione, where is she?"

"Ron's taken her inside," answered Bill. "She'll be alright."

Harry looked back down at Dobby and took the knife from his little body. Harry took off his jacket and wrapped Dobby in it like a blanket.

Dean carried Griphook into the house, and I hurried after them.

"We can put him in this room," I told Dean, showing him a room.

Dean put Griphook on a bed, and I gave him some Skele-Grow. After Griphook fell asleep, we left the room.

"Thanks Professor Black," he said.

"Just call me Fawn," I said with a smile.

We went back outside, just as I heard Harry say to Bill, "I want to do it properly. Not by magic, have you got a spade?"

Bill him to a place at the end of the garden and Harry got to work. He didn't want any help, refusing point-black when I offered to help dig the grave.

I went back inside to look after Hermione. She was still shivering and Ron wouldn't tell me what happened.

"Bill, why don't you make some tea for them." I said.

Bill nodded and hurried to the kitchen. I smoothed Hermione's hair away from her face and covered her with some blankets.

"You'll be alright." I whispered, as I stroked her hair.

I could see Harry from the window, digging, and digging.

"You two should check on Harry," I told Ron and Dean. "I'll take care of Hermione."

Ron looked reluctant but Dean patted his shoulder and they left. After a bit, we all decided to go out. I gave Luna one of my warm coats. I wrapped Hermione in a blanket and helped her across the garden.

"We should close his eyes," said Luna, as we all reached Harry, Ron and Dean.

Luna closed Dobby's eyes. "Now he could be sleeping."
