Me and the Weasley's went to the Burrow. Hermione, Tonks, Remus and Mad-Eye said they'd join us another time. When we went in I saw Sirius sitting on a sofa and reading a book.
"SNUFFLES!" I yelled.
He looked up and grinned. "Fawn!"
We hugged each other tightly. He stepped back to take a good look at me. "Glad to see you're alright. I wanted to come visit you but Dumbledore said that I shouldn't go out until news about my innocence goes in the Daily Prophet."
"It should come out tomorrow." said Bill happily.
And sure enough, the next day Ron came running into the kitchen, waving that days Daily Prophet news.
"It just arrived! Look!"
He threw the article on the table and we all jumped up and crowded around. We each read it silently and Sirius was looking very happy.
"I can't believe it. I can finally be free. Out. I can.... do the things I've been wanting to do forever!"
I hugged him. "Oh I'm so happy for you."
"I should find my own place now I think," he said.
And with that, we strode out the door and shut it behind him.
Later that night, I was in the kitchen sitting at the table reading a letter that Draco had sent me earlier that day. I had already read it about ten times, but I felt sadder each time I read it.
Dear Aunt Fawn,
I hope you're doing well. I really miss you. Mum won't stop raving about you. She says she really wants to meet you, but not when you're with the Weasley's. She looked like she was about to have a heart attack when I told her you're engaged to a Weasley. Anyway, with You-Know-Who back, I fear I won't be able to send as many letters. If you don't hear from me, don't worry. It probably has something to do with that.
Love,
Draco.
I wiped a tear off my cheek. It hurt, to know this poor boy has to be a part of Voldemort's circle. I was so into reading, I hadn't realized someone had come into the kitchen until I felt someone lean against my back and wrap their arms around me.
"Are you alright?" Bill whispered.
I couldn't bring myself to answer so I held the letter out. Bill read it and handed it back to me. "You need to sleep darling,"
I shook my head. "No."
He ignored my comment and carried me bridal style to his room.
"But your mum." I said.
"We've been engaged for nearly three years, I think one night should be fine." he said slyly.
He laid me down on his bed and crawled in next to me. I burrowed my face into the crook of his neck and breathed in his sweet smell as he wrapped his arms around me. "Tell me everything." he whispered.
I sighed. "I'm just so worried... about everyone. And Harry and Draco. Draco doesn't want to be like his parents. But he has to. And Harry, he's so young. He doesn't deserve this. And Percy isn't talking to any of us. And Charlie and Rue are in Romania. We haven't seen them in a year. What if something happens to them. Or you. Or me.. and...and..."
He kissed me. "Shhh Fawn. It's alright. I know you're scared. I'm scared too. We're all scared. You're so strong and brave. And such a fighter. I know it. I've seen it."
"I'm not a fighter, or brave or strong. " I mumbled.
"Are you serious? You're scary when you're angry." he chuckled and I had to laugh a little too.
"I love you lots Bill."
"I love you too Fawn."
The next morning, the door opened and we heard. "Hey Bill have you seen Faw- OH MY GOD FAWN! BILL! MUM'S GOING TO KILL YOU!"
Bill and I jumped up to see Ron and Ginny. Ginny was grinning at us while Ron looked disgusted.
"Piss off Ron." said Bill bitterly.
I rolled out of bed and quickly went to the room I shared with Ginny, getting dressed and brushing my teeth. I suddenly heard shouting and went downstairs to the kitchen to see Mrs. Weasley raging at Bill.
Fred, George, Remus, Sirius and Tonks were there as well. The twins, Tonks and Remus had smirks on their faces while Sirius looked angrily at Bill.
"SLEEPING IN THE SAME BED? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?"
"Mum just...."
"DON'T YOU MUM ME WILLIAM WHAT IF YOU GOT HER PREGNANT."
At that everyone had many different reactions.
Remus choked on his coffee. Sirius stood up looking like he was about to punch someone. Tonks, Ginny and the twins burst out laughing. Ron looked even more disgusted. Mr. Weasley looked at a loss for words. Bill was staring at his mother in shock and amusement and I just stood there with my eyes wide.
"Mrs. Weasley we've never.... done it." I said quietly.
"I- what?"
"Mum, we're both, you know....."
Her eyes narrowed. "Yes well that could change anytime now could it?"
"Molly," said Mr. Weasley. "They've been engaged for three years. Maybe leave them alone a bit. they're smart, they won't do anything drastic. Especially in troubled times like these."
Mrs. Weasley sighed. "I'm sorry you two. I'm just so worried. And if... well.... if a baby came along, it's not a very good time for something like that."
I hugged Mrs. Weasley. "Don't you worry Mrs. Weasley, we're careful."
Mrs. Weasley smiled. "I'm being silly, why don't you all sit down for breakfast."
We all sat down and began to eat.
"When's Hermione coming?" asked Ron casually. A bit too casually.
"You just saw her yesterday Ron." said Ginny, raising her eyebrow.
Ron just shrugged, but his ears had turned a bright red.
"Well, you'll need to send a letter won't you?" said Mrs. Weasley, completely oblivious so Ron's awkwardness.
A couple of weeks later, Hermione arrived one early morning.
I hugged her tightly. "Hi Hermione, How're you?"
"I'm fine thank you Fawn. Where's Ron?"
"He's in his room I think he's still slee-"
Before I even finished my sentence, Hermione was already bounding up the steps. I smiled to myself. With Bill being at work, I felt slightly bored. Mrs. Weasley insisted I didn't clean up around the house and I normally woke up with the house being clean already.
