"Agnes? Is everything alright?" Wanda chuckled while her friend quickly closed the door behind her.
"I hope you have the guest room ready dear, because I am not leaving this house until next week" The woman said, with an obviously fake smile.
"Well, you're always welcome, but may i ask what are you hiding from?"
"Hiding? Who says I'm hiding?" Agnes said while walking to the kitchen as if she was in her own house.
The redhead shook her head and opened her door to look around. She laughed when she realised what was happening. You were on the other sidewalk, looking confused and with a cake on your hands.
"Hi, Y/N" Wanda said, walking to you "What's that?" she asked
"I...I don't know" you blinked "a 'your flowers are the prettiest of the town' gift" you said and shrugged when Wanda raised an eyebrow "Agnes' words"
The redhead laughed again. So that's why Agnes was hiding in her house. A 'your flowers are the prettiest of the town' gift, really? Everyone knew that Agnes had the biggest crush on you, but no one had the heart to tell her that she was too obvious. Besides, her trying and failing every time to confess her feelings to you was probably everyone's favorite thing.
The normally charismatic, bold and nosy Agnes became a tangle of nerves the moment you walked into the same room. Her words stumbled in her mouth and she always ended up quickly fleeing the place, leaving you confused and not knowing what was happening.
It was adorable.
It wasn't a secret that all of Westview vowed not to rest until the two of you went out on a date, but Agnes' nervousness wasn't helping and it quickly turned into a kind of contest across town, to see who could get the brunette to confess her feelings to you, or who was closer.
If you went for an ice cream, the cashier would mysteriously confuse your orders, making you approach Agnes to correct the mistake (although the woman would just laugh and let you have both ice creams, quickly leaving with a blush on her cheeks).
If you went to the library, the librarian would make you sit next to the brunette, claiming that the other seats were reserved for a book club you've never heard of.
The florist would send bouquets to your house or to Agnes', of a supposed secret admirer, but with the colors that usually reminded you of the other.
Even Dottie made you sit next to the brunette, making her meetings even longer than normal, to see if the pressure could make Agnes break (nope, she just excused herself and quickly got out of there).
And every week, there would be a meeting, to see who got them to spend the most time together. For every two minutes that Agnes talked to you without panicking, they earned one point. Whoever had the most points would have the right to be the best man or bridesmaid at your wedding.
At first, Wanda had remained neutral, not wanting to intervene in her friend's private life, but when Agnes started using her house as her personal bunker, the redhead knew that she needed to get in on the game.
After all, if anyone deserved to be a bridesmaid at her friend's wedding, it was her, and no one would take that right away from her.
Although she had to admit that the brunette was stubborn. Wanda had tried motivational talks, promises you wouldn't turn her down, gift ideas, and even death threats.
"If you don't go and tell her you love her, I swear I'm going to hang you from that tree, Agnes!"
But nothing had worked. Maybe it was time for plan B.
"Y / N" she called when you turned to enter your house
"Yes?" you smiled
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure Wanda"
"Between us, what do you think of Agnes?" she whispered, making you frown.
"What?" you asked
"What do you really think of Agnes?" the redhead asked again. You smiled.
"You know, this is the fifth time someone asks me that this week" you said, making Wanda frown "Is there something I should know?"
"No!" she almost yelled, making you jump. She sighed "Sorry... It's just...I was just curious, i didn't know someone else already asked you that, sorry"
"It's alright, It's just that I'm starting to worry about it. Why do you care so much about what I think of her? Is something wrong? Is Agnes moving out of town and you wanted me to be the one to make her goodbye speech?"
Wanda blinked and chuckled. There was a sincere worry on your voice and that just confirmed her that you also felt something for the brunette.
"No, no, she's not moving" she said, then thought about her friend that was probably emptying her fridge at that moment. "At least not out of town but i think she already moved her things to my basement" she joked and you giggled.
"I'll bring you more food then, i think you'll need it"
"Thank you" she chuckled again before she sighed "Listen Y/N, I asked you what you think about her because I noticed...some things" she carefully said, not wanting to betray her friends' trust.
"What kind of things?" you said, already knowing where this was going.
"Well, she's...different when you're near" the redhead said
"Different as in she's planning my murder or different as in she has a crush on me?" you smirked.
Wanda blinked and you laughed.
"Wait, wait, wait. You knew?!" she asked, a little shocked "Why didn't you say something then?" she said when you nodded.
"Because she's so adorable when she panics and i love seeing her blushing" you shrugged "besides, i want to see who's going to be best man or bridesmaid at our wedding"
"You know about that too?!"
"Wanda, I'm Y/N, i know everything" you winked "Speaking of, you should get going and tell Agnes to bring me a 'your windows are the biggest of the street' wine or something, because you're like three points under Dottie"
"A wha- Wait what?! Three points?! Excuse me, I have to go" she said and ran to her house.
Ten seconds later you heard a "Agnes! Get your ass out there and give her this wine!..Because I have to win! That 's why!"
You laughed and entered your house, blowing a kiss to a confused Agnes that was being pushed out of Maximoff's house with a wine bottle on her hands. The last thing you saw before you closed your door was her adorable blush.
You loved Westview.
