You jumped and a little when you felt a hand on the small of your back. Agatha held you up so you wouldn't fall off the chair you were standing on.
"I told you to be careful" she scolded you
"I'm being careful" you objected
"You almost fell! If I hadn't been here, you'd be on the ground"
"If you hadn't been here, I would be perfectly fine, Harkness! It was you who scared me" you said and turned your attention to the wall in front of you
Agatha sighed and sat down in another chair. She rolled her eyes as she watched you continue painting the wall. This morning, you woke up with a strong desire to paint a mural in the kitchen. The brunette had told you that it was not necessary, the house was not even yours really! You would not stay here longer than the necessary time for her to study Wanda and-
And you had used the puppy face trick. Damn it. You knew perfectly well that she couldn't say no to you when you made that face. The witch had sighed and she had agreed to do it with her magic. But no, you were completely determined to be insufferably irritating today and you said you wanted to do it yourself.
"Stop pouting Harkness" you said suddenly, pulling her out of her thoughts. You didn't even turn to look at her, how did you-
"I'm not pouting" she frowned and crossed her arms
"Yes, you are" you laughed
The witch sighed and rolled her eyes again.
"I still don't understand why you would want to do this" she said "what's the point of having a magical girlfriend if you're not going to take advantage of it?
"I'm not dating you because of your magic tho" you said absentmindedly "I'm dating you because you are hot"
Agatha snorted with laughter but tried to compose herself quickly.
"At least you have good taste" she said "too bad I can't say the same about your common sense"
"You're just upset because I didn't want to stay in bed with you" you said
"Didn't you say you're dating me because I'm hot?" She told you, smirking "Because if I was dating someone hot I'd rather stay in bed with her than paint a damn wall"
"Maybe, but you're not dating someone hot. You're dating someone cute" you said "And what you do when you date someone cute is do what she asks of you"
The brunette couldn't help the giggle that escaped her this time. You were right, you were damn adorable and she would do whatever you asked of her. Always.
"I'm done" you said.
The witch had to admit that it was a beautiful painting. You had a talent for this. But she didn't have time to admire it for much because she saw you out of the corner of her eye, ready to jump to the ground. She immediately wrapped her arms around you and put you on the ground safely.
"Ey!" you said
"What part of 'be careful' is the one that is not clear to you?" she scolded you.
"It's a chair Harkness!" you rolled your eyes "I wasn't going to jump off the second floor"
It had felt that way to her. But she didn't say it out loud. Her arms drew you closer to her and she smiled at you.
"Now that you're done, can we go back to bed?" she asked
"Who said I finished painting?"
"You just said-"
"Nope! I finished the kitchen mural ... now I'll paint one in the living room" you said cheerfully.
Agatha grunted and you pecked her nose quickly.
"You're so annoying" she told you. You stuck out your bottom lip a bit and pouted "Oh my God– I love you so much"
You laughed when she leaned in to kiss you. Agatha gave you several quick kisses before you pushed her gently.
"If you help me, my next work will be in the bedroom ... and not exactly on the wall" you winked and brushed the tip of her nose, leaving a small stain.
You ran into the living room and smiled to yourself when you heard the other's footsteps quickly follow you. The two of you got to work, and if Agatha's side was painting faster than humanly possible, you decided to ignore it.
