Chapter Fourteen: Dreams and Music

a/n: Okay so it's really bothering me that every time I update this story the last few lines disappear and I cannot seem to load them up no matter how many times I try. If it hasn't loaded I will put the ending of this chapter onto the next one.

Chapter Fifteen: ~Lina

After Isabelle and I talk some more and watch movies I decide to stay the night. I really like her company too, she's just so caring and different to others I have met. I smile at her a she gives me pillows and a blanket for the couch. She had tried offering me her bed but I wouldn't take it. I was kind of already intruding, besides I was used to sleeping on a couch.

"We'll talk more about our plans tomorrow right?" she asks and I nod. "See you in the morning then." I smile and say night too before lying down.

I walk up with a start to see I'm in an empty hallway. Single lights cover the ceiling, the type you see in a hospital. Doors line either side of the corridor and I take a slow step forward. A cold blast hits my feet and looking down I see I'm barefoot and in a hospital gown. I frown as I walk down the corridor slowly. I shiver a little as I continue walking down. I pass some open doors to see them empty but a smell of death lingers.

Behind me I hear footsteps and turn to look to see nothing there. Again there is footsteps behind me and I turn to see nothing. I can feel my heart beating fast and then the silence is broken by a loud high pitched scream. The lights go off and I spin around. They come on as quickly as they turned off and I scream. In front of me is ...I don't even know what it is. The features are all distorted and I turn and run.

I keep running as the lights continue to flicker on and off. As I run down the corridor I see doors open and more deformed figures emerge and try to grab me. I dodge them as best as I can and keep running. I make a sharp turn around a corner only to see more of the creatures. I scream again and run into a room locking the door.

Turning around, I feel my breath stick in my throat at the sight before me. A soft piano piece plays, the sad type that reminds me of a score I once listened to from a horror film. Lying on the hospital bed I see myself...My body is burnt and beside me sits a very broken Killian. To see him so broken, his eyes red and his body looking sunk like he hadn't eaten in days.

I step closer as I watch the heart monitor beep. The beeps are slow, weak and I can hear Killian mutter to himself. I can't make out the words though...whatever it is I know there is so much meaning to them. It is then I hear the whispers. They start off quiet as I walk closer but they grow in intensity. I can hear them growing and I cover my ears. A throbbing erupts in my head and I shout.

Only when I reach the bed does the heart monitor flatline and Killian looks up.

"Lina!" he yells. "Lina!" I try telling him I'm okay but he doesn't seem to hear. I watch as he frantically looks around the room and then spots some bottle. He takes it and falls and I scream his name. A low cackle reaches my ears and the lights flicker once again. I hear the whispers pick up and turn to see myself on the bed getting up.

My eyes are dark and I recognise the shadow form of myself. The eyes are murderous and she begins walking towards me. For every step I take backwards she takes one forward. I wait to hit the door but feel the bodies of the creatures behind me. I scream again and then I'm falling.

"Lina!" A voice says and I sit up gasping for breath. I look around frantically and see nothing but the Isabelle's living room.

"Lina," the voice says again and I turn and see Isabelle standing there looking worried. She also looks terrified.

"Yeah?" I say my voice croaky. A bead of sweat runs down my forehead, and I realise that I'm covered in a grimy layer of it.
