*BEEP*

Yellow shuffled in her bedsheets.

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

Yellow woke up on her floor mattress in her new house. She took a moment to look around the room, with her alarm still beeping. Yellow sighed, and crawled over to her desk she set up, and turned off her annoying alarm.

Yellow rubbed her eyes and tried to remember what happened yesterday. She unpacked her stuff... Met a boy named Red, who might possibly maybe be her friend... Yellow sighed again; a longer, deeper, sigh. Today is now the day she starts school. It is the middle of the second trimester in this school she is going to, so everyone will have friends already. And she will be the newcomer nobody will want to talk to. Except for Red, maybe. Yellow remembered Red told her he is going to the same school she is going to. Yellow remembered feeling a mixed feeling of joy and anxiety.

Yellow grabbed her phone from her desk and checked her g-mail. She saw her schedule that was sent by the principal. Principal Oak. He seemed nice, but Yellow couldn't surely tell over g-mail.

Yellow was starting -or maybe resuming- her sophomore year in high school. It was already a difficult year at her old place, drama, real friends or fake friends, popularity, all of that jazz. And Yellow never gave a crap about it, until she just started thinking about it now. Yellow has never been the new kid, and it was giving her a ton of butterfree in her chest and stomach.

Yellow heard a knock on her door. "Yellow? Are you awake? I'm going to make breakfast!" It was her mom. Yellow was going to respond, but her mom already left from outside her door.

Yellow changed into some casual clothing, a large graphic t-shirt with words saying 'good vibes' and a sunset above it. The shirt reminded Yellow of her friends from Jhoto. Yellow put on some simple black leggings to finish her basic outfit. She went to her small table-mirror that she placed on her desk, and tied her hair back into a ponytail. A hairstyle she kept for years.

Yellow walked out of her room to the kitchen. It was filled with boxes, but it still had enough room for at least three people to cook in it, which was good enough.

The aroma of eggs and bacon filled the room, which instantly brought a smile to Yellow's face. It was one of her favorites, and it was her mom's, too.

"Good morning, sweetheart!" Said Yellow's mom. "You came right on time, the food is just almost ready!"

"Alright, I'll take a seat!" Said Yellow, taking a seat at the dining table.

Yellow's mom handed Yellow a plate of eggs and bacon, and Yellow ate it quickly.

"What time do I have to leave for school?" Yellow asked.

Yellow's mom checked her watch. "8:00, I think. It's 7:50, so you should get going!"

Yellow nodded, and put her shoes and bag on, then exited the house, waving goodbye to her mom through the window.

Yellow saw the same boy she saw yesterday, Red, outside of her house.

"What are you doing here?" Yellow asked.

"I just thought I should wait for you, since we go to the same school. We can walk there together!" Red said.

"Sounds good, then!" Yellow said, trying to match Red's attitude. Yellow was never a morning person. In fact, she always felt her best in the afternoons.

"We just have to follow this road, and then we will be at the school in no time!" Red said, adjusting the bag before he started walking down the road.

Yellow followed him, trying to stay at his side while walking. Red was way taller than Yellow, so it was hard to keep up with him because of Yellow's short legs. Come to think of it, everybody was taller than Yellow. Yellow never liked to admit she was short, though.

"So, Yellow, what do you do in your free time?" Red asked, looking down at the shorter girl.

"Uhm... I read, a lot. I find chemistry and medicine very fascinating. I also like listening to music!" Yellow said. Yellow stayed quiet for a bit after that, figuring she sounded like a nerd. Hopefully Red didn't think that. He seemed to have the potential to be Yellow's friend.

Yellow learned a lot about Red on that walk, like how he likes to play many different sports, even if he doesn't think he is that good at any of them. She also learned he enjoys music, too, and he recommended Yellow that she should join the music program.

"It looks like we are here!" Red said, standing at the entrance of the school next to Yellow.

"Yeah! It looks like a nice school!" Yellow said.

"I know, it is! I'm going to go now. See you later!" Red said, walking off into the crowd of students. Yellow watched him walk away, while she stood like a statue.

Yellow took three deep breaths and walked toward the crowd of students. They all were way taller than her, and intimidating. Yellow reminded herself to not judge a book by it's cover and she proceeded walking in through the crowd. Some students shoved their way through, making Yellow stumble onto another person, Yellow got squashed between two people twice. Yellow stumbled out of the crowd and took a deep breath of air.

This is going to be a long day.
