Yellow arrived at the school doors alone. Red was out sick for the day. Yellow thought it was because of her, -Kinda Cliché, isn't it?- but while she texted Red in homeroom, he kept saying it wasn't her fault and he was fine. Yellow smiled at her phone.
Sapphire leaned over Yellow's shoulder. "What 'cha smilin' about?" She said, trying to read Yellow's texts.
Yellow flipped her phone screen over onto her desk so Sapphire couldn't see it.
"It's none of your business!" She said.
Sapphire shrugged. "Alright..." She paused. "Anyway, I heard from Ruby that they are now forming a yearbook club. Platinum and I joined already, so are you interested?"
Yellow thought about it. She didn't have anything much do to after school, so an after school club is perfect! And Red can join too... Even if he has track.
"Yeah, sure!" Yellow said, giving her friend a grin.
"Great! I'll see ya there after school!" Sapphire said, walking back to her seat.
Yellow looked back down at her phone. Red texted her he was going to take a nap. Yellow smiled a small smile and turned off her phone. It wasn't long till her first period started.
*RINGGGG*
Yellow flinched at the bell -like always- and slipped on her backpack and hurried out of her homeroom with a large crowd of her classmates.
. . .
After a not-so-eventful school day, Yellow walked to the room the Yearbook club was going to take place in.
Yellow opened the door, and she was greeted with Sapphire, who ran over to her.
"Yellow! You came!" Sapphire said.
"Of course I would!" Yellow said.
"Great! Anyways, here is everybody who came so far!" Sapphire said.
Sapphire grabbed her friend's shoulder and walked her around the room, introducing Yellow to everyone.
"This is Ruby -my boyfriend- you guys probably haven't ever talked before, right?"
Yellow nodded, and the two said hi to eachother, just like how it went for all the other members in the yearbook club.
There is Ruby, who was the head of the photography club, till their club merged with the yearbook club. He now takes the photos for the yearbook with Sapphire's help.
Then there are Crystal, the one everyone says is the smartest of the group she keeps everything in order, and makes sure everybody is on track. Platinum and Gold keeps up with the gossip and Platinum reports to her new friends, Diamond and Pearl, who list it into the yearbook. Who doesn't like juicy gossip in the school yearbook?
Then there are the ones who just joined- Yellow, and -sometime soon- Red.
Yellow thinks it's a small group, but she likes it that way. It would be way too overwhelming to have many, many people in the club.
. . .
After the yearbook club, Yellow walked home with Blue once again, since Red was absent.
"Yearbook club was fun, wasn't it?" Yellow said. They didn't do much work since there were new members to the club, and everyone agreed to relax and let the new-comers have a nice first day in the club.
"Yeah, I guess." Blue said. "All we did was talk. I thought we would actually, like, do something."
Yellow nodded in agreement. She then heard her phone beep. Yellow picked it up out of her pocket, and read the notifcation.
It was a text from Red's mom.
"Sorry, I need to go!" Yellow said in a panic. She sprinted off down the path to Pallet Town.
Everything is going to be fine. Yellow repeated that phrase in her head multiple times till she reached the front door of Red's house. Yellow knocked. She tapped her foot on the ground in a fast pace, waiting for somebody to answer.
The door opened, and out stepped Red's mom.
"Yellow! You made it!" Red's mom said. "I will text your mom later, alright? Come into the car with me. We need to get there as fast as possible before visiting hours are over."
Yellow nodded and followed Red's mom into her car.
They drove off in a dash, heading straight towards the Viridian City hospital.
