The two Gryffindor's lives had changed so much in the past few months, that they had to take a moment now and then to pinch themselves to realize the enormity of their reality.  And it wasn't as if they would ever question it or doubt it, it just seemed to them sometimes that, even though powerful, it was amazing, wonderful and breath taking.  They loved magic, and couldn't see their lives without it.  After the Alpha wedding, they had all gone home and shared a glass of champagne, reminiscing about their adventures with Harry.

How they had become friends in their first year, how they had served detentions together, how they had been on the run and had survived a war.  They spoke until the early hours of the morning, and afterwards went to bed with a lighter and happier heart.  Molly and Arthur Weasley had written him a long letter apologizing for treating him the way they had, because they knew that they hadn't been fair to Harry.  The war wasn't his fault.  The fact that Fred had died, wasn't his fault.  That blame lay with one man only, and he was a discarded pile of ash anyway, so they had to bury any thoughts of hatred that they had.

Harry had forgiven them, because it was in his nature to do so.  He could never bear a grudge, and most of all not to his dearest friends.  Ron knew that his betrayal of Harry over the years was based on jealousy, and he hated himself for it.  Never meaning to show it, but it had festered within him, and had broken out in fourth year when Harry's name had come out of the Goblet of Fire.  At the time, he loathed him, thinking that he loved and thrived on the attention being given, but at the same time knowing, that every single year since attending Hogwarts, someone else always had an ulterior motive - to use Harry and hurt him.

Hermoine was without a doubt the brains of the trio.  She would analyze and over analyze any little thing that was said, and the way she had found out about Rita Skeeter still had him laughing at the memory.  How she had put the bug in its place by putting her in a glass jar, man it was funny.  But now, things had changed.  The world had shifted, and Harry Potter, his first true friend, had become the Alpha of the wizarding world.  So much power at his fingertips, yet he never abused it.

When Harry called everyone to the Manor not so long ago, and told them that he and Draco were pregnant, he was so happy for the couple.  It wasn't unheard of, a wizard bearing a child, so that isn't what made him seem surprised.  It was the fact that they hadn't even been married for long.  But, not one to dwell on things too long, he let it go.  It wasn't fair to Harry, knowing that the man had never had a family of his own.  This would surely make him feel complete.

The love that Ron and Hermoine had for each other was just as strong as that of the Alpha and his Omega, and Ron knew that he would go to the ends of the earth to protect the woman he cared for very deeply.  He loved spoiling her, and vice versa.  They were lucky to have found each other when they did.  During the bloody war, he had decided that it was a good time to kiss her.

"Hey love, what are you thinking?", asked his girlfriend.  He looked at her and told her what was on his mind.  "Ah yes, you saving the elves, and me snogging the crap out of you for it", she giggled.  She looked at him with adoration in her eyes, and touched his face.  "Are you happy Ron?", she asked.

"Of course, yeah", he answered.  They were still staying at the Burrow since after the war, and were going to start making plans to find their own house and make a home out of it.  But that would have to wait until after the birth of the Alpha twins.  Hermoine wanted to be there for Harry and Draco, with no reservations.  She wanted to help in any way that she could, and she knew that Ron felt the same.

"Do you think it's boys or girls?", asked Ron.  "I think it's one of each", said Hermoine.  "Can you imagine a snotty spoilt female version of Draco?", she chuckled.  Ron laughed and said, "No.  One is more than enough", making her laugh.  He recalled the way the Draco had leaned on him when their divination professor had given them news that day.  He had made a vow to protect him always, and he would.  He knew that Harry would call on him soon and more often because of it, and he would answer.

"Pansy and I have something to do together, so you and Blaise need to take Harry and Draco out for the day, sometime this week", she said.  "Pansy has already told Blaise about it, so you two also need to get together, and collaborate".

Ron looked at her and frowned.  "What exactly are you two planning?", he asked.

"Nothing you have to worry about Ron", she claimed.  "A tiny surprise, that is all".

He looked at his girlfriend who got a faraway look in her eyes, as if she was missing something in her life.  He wanted to give her the world and he would, he just had to figure out where to start, and when he had done that, he knew he would be met with positivity and hugs and all things good.  He just had to muster up the courage to do what needed to be done.

Hermoine was thinking about before the war, and what she had done so that they could win.  What part she had played, and thought that maybe it was time that she leave for a while and do something about it.  But only after the twins had been born.  Harry and Draco would need her and Ron, and she wanted to do this with him, the love of her life.
