After the men had left to go to Hogwarts for the day, Narcissa, Pansy and Hermoine got together to plan the first step to making Draco's dream nursery become a reality.  They knew they couldn't do the decorating themselves, because Harry had specifically asked that Draco lead that part of it, but he had said nothing about what room to choose and how big it was allowed to be.  Also, Hermoine thought of many muggle devices that could be used to make their lives easier.

So they did a little shopping of their own in muggle London, and had purchased a whole different variety of items.  When they eventually made it back to the Manor, their hands were filled with bags from various stores, and they were breathless from all the laughter and excitement.  While they had been gone, they had asked the house elves to transform the room right next to the master bedroom, which they had done with pride.

They had made the room bigger, with an arch for a doorway.  Soft grey carpeting covered the floors, and an extra window had been added.  They were told not to make the changes too bold, because Draco would probably be making his own decisions.  When they went upstairs, their mouths hung open.  The nursery was huge, there was enough space for six babies.  But Draco being the entitled princess that Harry claimed he was, would want nothing less.

Some of the items purchased were:-  a baby monitor system, where when the babies would make a sound, Harry and Draco would be able to hear them.  But these had screens, so they would also be able to see as well as hear when something was happening.

The next item that Hermoine had insisted they purchase was a sterilizing unit.  Cleansing by magic had its good points, but one could only go so long with a Scourgify.  To be really clean you needed water, and a drop of sterilizing liquid.  It was a plastic unit with holes in the bottom, where you could put the baby bottle in upside down.  In the bottom tray you added water, and sterilizer, popped it in the microwave, and voila, clean bottles for the next feed.

Which brings the attention to the third item.  They had purchased a microwave, specifically for this purpose.  It would only be used for the baby bottles, and not for anything else.  The last thing that she had purchased was a medium sized bin in which they could throw away the dirty diapers.  But this item, she had charmed.  It would mask any odor, and the spoiled diapers would vanish after about being inside for 5 minutes.  The color of the gifts were all white, stating that if Draco wanted to add color, he would be able to do so.

Narcissa smiled at her genius.  "Draco is going to love these ideas Hermoine", she said kindly.

Hermoine looked at her and answered, "I certainly hope so, they will make his life so much easier".  She admired Draco's mother.  The woman had been through a special kind of hell, losing her husband, almost losing her son, and then lying to Voldemort, telling him that Harry was dead.  If he had even thought to look inside her mind, he would have seen her betrayal and struck her down without a second thought.  She truly was a hero in her eyes.

"Hermoine, is something wrong?", she asked, noticing that the girl was staring at her in a funny way.  It didn't make her feel uncomfortable, it was, well it was strange.

"Sorry.  No, nothing, it's just......I'm just happy, that's all.  What I mean to say is, I wanted to say thank you", she replied.

"For what exactly?", asked Narcissa with confusion.

"For saving Harry.  For......helping us win the war", she said with sudden tears in her eyes, because she couldn't imagine a life without her friend in it.  "Oh honey, you don't have to thank me for that.  I did what anyone would have done, not that they would have known it at the time", she answered.  She hugged Hermoine and told her that although it was in the past, all of what they did, had to mean something.  Their good and their bad deeds, but it was only the ones that stood out, that should define them.

Pansy came and sat on the other side of Hermoine and put her arm around her shoulders.  "If it makes you feel any better, we owe you a thank you as well Hermoine", she said.

"What for?",  she asked.

She looked at Narcissa and squeezed Hermoine tight.  "For accepting Draco, and becoming a part of Harry's Inner Circle.  He was so worried that you wouldn't want to be.  And I think deep down, Draco is dying to say that to you as well.  Harry told us of the knowledge you possess, and that you had done your homework on the Alpha.  I, and I suppose the others too, were blown away.  So, thank you", she finished.

"I would never have not been part of it.  Harry has been my friend for many years, and I love him, no matter who is in his life.  The fact that its Draco sort of adds up, because I knew back then that they shared something.  And I firmly believe that Draco being his soul mate was written in the stars - and they are good for each other".

Narcissa nodded and replied, "Yes they are.  I don't think there is another wizard out there who would be able to put up with his tantrums or his devotion to everything he loves.  They are indeed quite the pair.  Can you imagine how bossy he is going to be when he goes into labor?", she asked with a giggle.

"If he's anything like me, he will be demanding and suffocating, I only hope Harry will know how to placate him".

Pansy laughed and said he would.  "When I look at Harry, all I see is total adoration and love in his eyes for Draco, so that's a given.  Even if Draco had to curse him, he would still stand there with a stupid grin on his face and tell him he loves him endlessly".

Hermoine nodded and said that's true.  All of a sudden, Pansy shrieked out, " We can talk and cry about this another day, I think the guys are back", and they all scurried around, and left the room quietly, making sure that no trace of them had even been there.
