Being the Omega, Draco was akin to magic, feelings, and emotions in that he could feel everything that Harry was feeling and going through.  Whether he was happy, angry, stressed or worried, Draco knew about it.  So when he started to feel a new kind of emotion go through him, he welcomed it.  Not knowing what it was, maybe a weird sort of excitement at the up and coming holiday, he vowed to make this the best Halloween that Harry had ever experienced.

At the end of every October, Harry would become physically ill.  He had never spoken about it to anyone, he knew that Hermoine suspected it somewhat, because he would always refuse to go to the great hall for the feast, but at least for now, it was only him that knew, and he wanted it to stay that way.  He didn't want Draco to worry about him, especially not now that he basically had two months left to go before their babies were born.

And if everything went according to Gloria's date chart, they were going to arrive a week or two before Christmas.  There were times that he couldn't contain his excitement, and would check and double check that everything was in order for Draco.  He wanted nothing to go wrong, in any sense.  Gloria kept reassuring him that nothing would, and to try and put some faith in nature.

Hermoine had come to visit one day after being invited by Draco, because he wanted to gift Harry something special, but he had no ideas.  They had arranged to meet for afternoon tea while Harry and Lucius had gone to Diagon Alley for some supplies.  When she knocked, it was Draco who answered the door with a huge smile on his face.

"Draco!", she said.  "You are glowing", she boasted.  The man in front of her had so much beauty, that she could see why Harry was smitten with him.  If he could make pregnancy look that good, well then, he would probably never lose his beauty.  He smiled back at her, gave her a hug, and led her into their lounge, where tea and biscuits were waiting on them.

"Thank you for coming Hermoine", he said to her.  She smiled at him and asked how he was feeling.

"I feel great.  The other day I almost lost my shit thinking Harry must think I'm fat and ugly, and then he almost lost his shit for me having thoughts like that, and so on and so on, but we sorted it out", he declared.

"Mmmm, it's hormones Draco.  And Harry won't lie to you just to make you feel better, so if he hasn't said it, I will.  You are a beautiful man, even when seven months pregnant", she cooed.

He blushed and told her about the new emotion he could feel coming from his husband.  "I don't know, it's like he is excited but scared.  Happy, but aware.  Focused but his thoughts are all over the place, it's weird.  And I've been feeling it ever since I mentioned having our first Halloween together the other morning.  He actually left the table to throw up, the poor man", he said thinking back.

Hermoine looked at him in sorrow, because she knew the reason immediately, and what Draco was feeling was not excitement and fear, he was feeling Harry's horror, but it was obvious that he was trying to mask it.  How much could she tell him, and was it really her place to do so?  She shifted in her chair, and Draco saw the change come over her.

"Hermoine?", he asked with a change in his voice.  Why was she uncomfortable now, he wondered.

He waited until she found her words, and then went cold at what she did tell him.  Hoping that she was doing the right thing, and that it wouldn't put a strain on her friendship with Harry.  "Draco, what you're feeling is not excitement.  I don't think it is my place to tell you, but what I can say is that Halloween is the one holiday that Harry never celebrates", she said timidly.

Draco was confused.  He had so many great plans on how to decorate and what they were going to do for the day.  "I asked you here to find out what type of gift I could get for him, because I wasn't sure, but if what you say is true, then there is no point", he answered.  "And you can't be more specific?", he then asked.

She shook her head and said, "Sorry no.  It has to be Harry that tells you, I won't take that away from him", she stated.  He thanked her, and with his mind in turmoil, sipped his tea slowly, and when they were done, he hugged her goodbye and waited for his husband to return to him.  He wanted to know more before he started on the Manor, and he wanted to do what was right, for him and for Harry.

When Lucius and Harry did come home, their cheeks were flushed from the cold outside, and they had bags of goodies with them.  Draco could hear laughter coming from the parlor, but waited until they came to him.  Narcissa had also arrived back from her luncheon with friends, and had seen his face, as if he were thinking deeply about something.  'Is something wrong?", she asked her son.

He looked at her and replied, "I'm not sure.  But I am about to find out".

When the two men entered the lounge, Harry immediately felt that something was wrong, and walked up to his husband and kissed him on his cheek.  Draco wrapped his arms around him and spoke [Harry why didn't you tell me angel].

Harry tried to pull out of the hug to see his face, but Draco held on.  [Tell you what Boo] he asked, not knowing what was going on, but enjoying the hug immensely.

[That you didn't celebrate Halloween] he replied.  Harry tensed and then gulped, how had Draco found out?  And then he remembered that Hermoine had been here.  Oh crap!

[Hermoine told you, didn't she?] he asked.  Draco pulled him even closer and nodded into his neck.  [Yes.  She said that you would tell me why, that it wasn't her place to].  For which Harry was grateful but also ashamed.  He would have been angry if she had, but having to tell Draco now, was not something that he had planned on doing.

Lucius and Narcissa felt the energy of the room change the minute that Draco started hugging Harry, and wondered if they were having an argument.  "Draco, is everything all right?", she asked, remembering the words he had said only a moment ago.

"Everything is fine, thank you Mother", he replied, looking at Harry with concern.  He would never force Harry to talk of private things in front of others, that wasn't his style, but he had every right to know.  When the time was right, mind you.  [You don't have to tell me if you don't want to love] he smoothed out.

Harry bit the inside of his cheek and wondered if he should tell them, taking the happiness away that they got from the holiday.  He didn't want to spoil their moods, and really, this was a personal thing for him.  Yes they were family, but he didn't want to burden them with his messed up feelings and whatnot.  Best to not say anything, but the truth.

Well, a half truth perhaps.
