31 October 1981 had been a tragedy.  It was the date that Harry's parents had been murdered by Voldemort.  If anyone had really paid attention while he was at Hogwarts, they would have seen him miss every single feast signaling the holiday.  He would never join in, saying that he was tired, or he had a headache, or he had to finish homework and that he wasn't really hungry.  Hermoine and Ron understood fully, and never pushed him, for which he was grateful.

After the war, there wasn't time to celebrate the holiday, because he had been bitten and their lives had changed, albeit for the better.  Festivities surrounding the season included huge pumpkins being carved into jack-o-lanterns, spooky ghost silhouettes casting shadows, and the like, and Harry had no desire to take part in it.  It wasn't only stupid, it was haunting and emotionally exhausting.

Which was why he wanted to introduce a new tradition to his family.  He would put it out there, and see what the reaction was.  It wasn't a huge difference from what they were used to now, it was just a slight change.  Either that, or he would excuse himself from being involved in any way, hoping that they wouldn't have questions.

He had held Draco so tight last night, and had made soft love to him in the morning, while he had lain on his side, and it was glorious.  With Draco's head thrown back and his mouth open in gasps, Harry held onto his thigh and pumped in and out of him sensually, making him groan and beg for more.  It was ecstatic the way their bodies rocked together, in sync with each other, and Harry praising every inch of him while he was fucking him senseless.  Kissing him with a growl and speaking into those swollen lips - "Beautiful Baby Boy" - and Draco would preen at how the words of worship would make him literally see sparks.

And when it was time for their release, they would look into each other's eyes, and gasp and grunt their approval and then scream and bite each other, because this.  This was fucking fantastic, and they wanted to drown in it.

Their magic had also become stronger, and even the twins could feel it.  Every time they touched or kissed each other, it was if the world knew what was coming, making their kicks even more profound.  The babies would feel the love coming from Harry, and were known to kick Draco soon after having an orgasm, and although some may think this vulgar, it was their way of acknowledging their parent's love for each other.  Especially when it was time for their story telling and their kisses goodnight.  Harry would always receive a healthy bop to his face, making him want to kiss Draco's stomach all over again.

Did I mention Harry was a complete sap?

They had woken up together, making their way towards the breakfast table, where all Draco wanted was toast and sweet tea.

Harry frowned at his order, and asked, "Are you feeling all right Boo?".

Draco nodded and said yes thank you.  "I'm just not that hungry this morning", he said.

But he was glowing, it was like a curtain of rose pink glitter had been opened on top of his head and had flowed down to his feet.  His skin was shining, a tinge of pink to his cheeks, soft to  the touch, his long hair silky, his eyes sparkling like he was alive for the first time, he was indeed a stunning man.

"I'm so excited for Halloween", he cried out suddenly, gripping onto Harry's hand.

"Can you imagine our first Halloween together Harry, also the first without being at Hogwarts", he said with a smile.

Harry tensed up beside him, and his mind was a whirlwind of thoughts.  He wasn't so sure about his idea of new traditions anymore, and when Narcissa spoke, his mind was made up not to say anything about it to anyone.

"Ooooh yes, I can't wait to decorate.  We'll have everyone over, have fun, play some music, have a fabulous feast, we can even hand out sweets to those who come knocking", she said.

Lucius smiled at his wife, who loved hosting parties, and decorating the Manor.  It was not a pastime that he cherished and vowed to be far away from home when the time came.  He looked at Harry who had a strange look about his face.

"Harry, what do you say?  We leave these two to fawn and decorate, while you and I go out for that day", asked Lucius.  Harry looked at him and just nodded his head.  He would do this for Draco, and he would tolerate it.

Narcissa had seen the way his face had changed, put it down to nerves, and blurted out without knowing any better, "What are your traditions on Halloween Harry?  Did you also hand out sweets, and play dress up in silly costumes for the fun of it?", her eyes wide, impatient to hear the answer how the savior had spent his youth on this day.

Harry felt sudden nausea, squeezed Draco's hand and simply said, "Excuse me", and left the table with no explanation.  He ran towards the bathroom, and when he was there, he threw up in the toilet.  How was he going to explain his actions.  He would just tell them that he was feeling giddy, and was going to take it easy for the rest of the day.  They had to believe him.  The problem was, he was going to have to shield this from Draco, something he hated to do, but wanted him to be happy in his pursuit of a Halloween party.

He washed his hands and rinsed his mouth, and made his way back to the table, hoping that Halloween talk was over.  It was thank god, because everyone was worried about him leaving the table.  "Harry?", asked Narcissa.

"Sorry, I'm fine.  Sudden nausea", he sighed out and gave a small smile that that would be the end of it.  Even Draco ran his hand through Harry's hair and said that maybe he would feel better after eating something.  He agreed, and had toast and tea with his husband.

He ate slowly, wondering how he was going to get past this.  Was he going to throw up every time they even spoke of it?  He bloody hoped not.
