Gloria Barnett was a small petite woman, who had been a Healer for longer than she cared to remember.  It had been a passion of hers when she had been younger, and was so thankful for all the opportunities that had presented themselves for her to make her way in the world.  Her father, Clint Fawley had been a pure blood, and had opened doors for her in her youth that made her appreciate her upbringing.

But let it be said, that because someone is a pure blood, it doesn't mean that you are evil.  It means that your beliefs are different from those of others.  Her father had been strict yes, but he had never held it against her if she made a friend with a muggle or a half blood.  She was proud of her blood status and of her heritage, but that didn't define people.

Take Harry and Draco Malfoy-Potter for instance.  One was a pure blood, the other a half blood.  Voldemort himself had had a muggle father.  Their blood status didn't portray what they would become, so why should it state how she was to live her life.  The day that she had told her father that she was in love with a half blood, had been the worst and best day of her life.  The worst being because she was so anxious to tell him, that any children they had, would not be pure blood, and although she seemed sorry for her father's lineage to end, she had to live for herself.

It was the best because her father had congratulated her, and said if it really was love, then that shouldn't matter.  She had broke down in tears when he had said that, again so grateful for her upbringing.  She had married the man, who went by the name of Trevor Barnett, and had been happily married for 12 years before he had died from a terrible muggle disease, called cancer.  She had tried everything to save him, but there were just some things that magic couldn't heal.

Forever grateful that she had magic and her healing career still ahead of her, she moved away to a quiet little town by the name of Wiltshire.  Taking her two children with her, they went to Hogwarts, for they were both magically gifted, and she worked at St. Mungo's.  Happiness, for her, would be found in giving parents the good news that they were expecting a baby, and in helping in the post and pre natal care of the mother.

Which is why when the call came in that the Alpha was looking for the best female Healer that dealt with nausea, she jumped at the chance.  She had never had a male patient who had been pregnant before, and after her first visit, started reading up on it, so that she would be able to answer any questions that they posed to her.  She recalled her last visit, how Harry had tears in his eyes when he saw his babies.  He had looked so proud of the fact that he was going to become a father.  And she was glad that she was the one to take care of Draco.

Now, all that remained was the birthing process.  She had asked Draco to think about it, and he had said he would get back to her, but he still hadn't done that.  She would have to ask again, because if they wanted a private room at St. Mungo's, she would have to book it in advance for them.  Of course, them being the Alpha and Omega already sort of did that, but she was always one to follow the rules, and if history was anything to go by, Harry Potter was not.

She smiled at the note in her hand.  She had written to Draco, telling him that he needed to decide where he wanted to give birth, because she had to make plans and bookings based on what they decided.  He had replied to her, and she smiled at the response.

Dear Gloria!

Thank you for your letter.  I've been a nightmare, I know.  I should have gotten back to you ages ago, but the truth is, Harry and I haven't decided yet.  We would like to weigh all our options, and while I am leaning more towards the home birth, I would like to know that everything is in place before we finally let you know.

Thank you for all your love and concern.

Draco

She decided that she would write back to him, and then they would discuss it with her next visit.  She herself thought that a home birth would be the best thing for them for many reasons.  One, they were going to be followed by the media if it was found out that they were at the hospital.  Two, there would never be a moment's peace, and everyone would want a glimpse of the Alpha twins.  Three, in the comfort of their own home, they could bathe the babies after the birth, and Draco could rest easy, knowing that all was well.  And four, Harry wouldn't want to rip anyone's head off who dared come near his husband and his children.  Oh yes, she knew of the anger of the Alpha.

Dear Draco,

A home birth sounds perfect!  I will want your final word when I call on Monday.

Enjoy your weekend,

Gloria

She tied the note to the owl who was waiting for a response, and sent it on it's way.  Calling her mother, who was elderly, to the dinner table, they sat down and talked about their day.  After dinner, and clearing up, she wrote another note.  This one was addressed to the Matriarch of the Malfoy family, asking that if Draco and Harry decided on a home birth, would she be able to see that a room could be set up with all the necessary equipment.  She wanted everything to be absolutely perfect for the pair.

After sending it off, she had a hot shower, and got into her warm bed, falling asleep instantly.
