A few months had passed since their visit to Australia, and the twins were growing up nicely.  The more Harry played with them and spoke to them, the more he became intrigued at their  similarities.  He remembered that it had been one of the most precious days of his life, the day that they had been born.

They both had dimples on their left cheeks, and they both had just three tiny freckles on the bridge of their noses.  The other similarity was that their eyes were the same shade of green that graced Harry's eyes.  He would never get enough of just looking at them.  It was bath time, and he and Draco loved that part of the day where they could get wet and loud with their two boys.

He liked blowing raspberries on their stomachs making them giggle, because the Alpha in him loved hearing their voices, it made him glow with pride.  Draco was running their bath water, while he was in charge of undressing them and laying out their clothes for bedtime.  He started with Severus, and had him undressed in no time, then went on to remove the clothes from Sirius.  Then he leaned down and nuzzled their cheeks the same way he had done in his vision.  Their tiny little voices were making gurgling sounds, and Harry was in love.

Draco came into the room and said, "Bath is ready", but Harry wasn't listening to him or paying attention to him in any way.  In fact, he had just seen something that had taken his voice away, and it wasn't that he was scared or angry, it was that he had questions about how was this possible, and why was he only seeing it now.  "Harry love", said Draco trying to get his attention.

And when he stepped closer to the three of them, he understood why his husband didn't answer him.  There, on their tiny right shoulders, they seemed to have been branded.  Like a mark of sorts, and if he had to consider this, it was the only difference about them.  Severus bore the mark of a flame, and Sirius bore that of a water symbol.  How had he not seen this before, he wondered.

"Oh Harry", said Draco, also nuzzling them with his nose, and sent calming waves to him.

"How did we miss this Boo?", he asked.  "Did someone hurt them?", he growled.

Draco knew that this wasn't because they were or had been hurt, this was because they had been deemed important enough to receive those marks.

"Draco", he growled again, angry that someone might have hurt his sons.

"Harry, no one has hurt them angel.  These are birth marks", he said.  "I don't know why they are only showing up now, it might be because they are 7 months old today".  Harry frowned and then remembered, the number seven was a very important number in the wizarding world.

Then his eyes went wide, as he remembered the day of their birth, and what had happened in the lounge.  The fire coming to life by itself, and the flame that had thrown itself into the air, marking the birth of Severus.  Then there had been a bubble when Sirius had come into the world.  He had never told anyone about that, and perhaps it was time.  He looked at Draco and told him, what had happened.

Draco's eyes went wide, but he was grinning from ear to ear.  "You and your Alpha sperm Harry, will never cease to amaze me", he smirked and kissed his husband hungrily.  But Harry was confused, and asked Draco what is a birthmark?

"Sometimes when wizards - seemingly important ones - are born, they are given a birthmark". he said.  When he saw Harry's hand reach towards his own scar, he smiled.  "No Harry, not like your scar.  You my love are one of a kind", he chuckled.  Harry was calmer now, but he needed to know more.  Draco suggested that they bath them first, then gave them their bottles, and would discuss everything afterwards.

Bath time was fun, because Draco had, after Harry's constant pouting, purchased them both their own set of rubber ducks which they enjoyed tremendously.  After bathing and drying, their skins were covered in baby lotion, dressed and held so that they could have their dinner.  When they were settled in for the night, they left the room to go and tell the others what they had seen.

They all listened intently, and when Harry spoke of the flame and the bubble that had come forth when Draco was in labor, it was Narcissa who dropped her wine glass, so that it shattered, spilling wine everywhere.  Harry gulped, because that was a look of fear on her face.  She shook her head and said no, it was not fear.  It was reverence.  She was in awe at what her son and the Alpha had achieved.  She took a deep breath, and while the elves cleaned up her mess, Lucius poured her another, and everyone got comfortable waiting for her to speak.

"Merlin was the only known one to bear a mark like that.  There were other wizards of course, that had some type of mark, but not that obvious.  Many say that Merlin had all the elements on his skin when he had been born, but it has never been confirmed", she started.  Harry was holding onto Draco's hand, and his heart was pounding in his chest.  When she opened her mouth to resume, there was a knock at the door.

Rising slowly, Harry wondered who could be calling here this time of night.  He asked Rozy to go and see who it was, only to have her reappear with David at his side.  The Nature Wizard hardly ever made house calls, so what was so important that he had to be here.  Harry thought that his visit to the man would be his last.

"Good evening Harry, Draco", he said kindly, also nodding his greeting to the others in the room.  "I can see by the look on your faces that you have just discovered the birthmarks on your sons", he stated.  Harry nodded and growled, because no one was going to hurt them or take them away from him.  He would die protecting them.

"Harry, do not fear.  No one will ever hurt the Alpha Twins.  I am simply here to tell you that your sons are to be Elementals", he said.  He nodded his head again, and left the Manor soon after, leaving so many questions on all their tongues.
