She kissed the scars on his skin.

Chapter 25

I saw it. The way I reacted to his kiss. The way it made me glow like that. The way my eyes came to life. The slight blush on my cheeks. I see that maybe I'm prettier than I ever thought I could be. I smile up at Tony.
"Thank you" I whisper. He kisses me again and after a few moments pulls back.
"Do you want to do something today?" he asks. I nod.
"But I have to be in work for 8pm" I remind him. He smiles.
"That's hours away. Lets go and have some fun."
I dress quickly in jeans and a t-shirt and follow Tony to his car.
"I just need to pop home for a quick shower and to change" he tells me as he starts the car. I smile and nod and we head to his place. I start wondering what sort of house a famous rock star lives in. I've seen MTV cribs and wonder if his place is like anything on there. We pull up outside a medium sized house with an amazing view of the beach. He opens the car door for me and I follow him up a driveway to the front door, which he quickly unlocks and then he ushers me inside and shows me to the lounge where he says I can wait while he showers. I ask if I can get a drink of water and he nods, pointing out the kitchen as he jogs up the stairs. I wander in there and see a clean glass on the side which I quickly fill with water. I glance around and I'm impressed by how clean this place is. A lot of men who live alone don't tend to keep there places quite so organised. I smile as realise how attractive this is. I glance out of the window and see a back garden with a hot tub and decking area. I've never been in a hot tub. Maybe one day he will let me. I don't realise how long I've been daydreaming until I feel Tony's arms wrap around me from behind and his chin resting on my shoulder. I turn my head and smile before quickly pecking his lips. It's the first time I've kissed him first and it feels nice that I have the courage to do that.
"What do you want to do?" he asks me. I don't know. I never go anywhere other than work or grocery shopping so I don't know where there is to go. I shrug my shoulders and he smiles.
"Best make it a good surprise then" he whispers, his breath on my ear making my heart skip a beat.
I follow him back out to his car and we get in. This is a part of San Diego I've never been to until now and the buildings are so beautiful. We pull up outside a building with Botanical Building written on a sign. Tony takes my hand as we walk across the car park and leads me to the entrance. Inside are some of the most exotic and interesting plants I've ever seen. I look around me, trying to take in all the sights and smells of this beautiful place.
We wander around for a while, hand in hand, looking at the plants and the lily pond outside. There's a cafe so we go to get a cool drink. It's very warm inside the building and not a whole lot cooler outside. I ask for a Pepsi max and Tony gets a Sprite. We take our bottles to a grassy area near the lily pond and we sit there, in the shade of a tree.
