-Letters-

(Y/N) stood there, staring at the priest who had a worried look in his eyes. The girl didn't want to continue the legacy, she wrote it on her letter, well-she specifically wrote that she didn't want the mansion to be built up again so she didn't really say she didn't want to continue the legacy. Does she?

"Do you want to continue the Dela Cruz legacy?" questioned the priest. Few more weeks left then she'll be sent back, summer will be over and spring will continue to bloom back.
"I-I..." (Y/N) doesn't know what to do, part of her wants to just breathe it in and let it continue but half of her wants to forget the life she had before and live here in Encanto 'till the end of her days.

"May I think about it?" (Y/N) fluttered her eyes towards her hands that was nervously fidgeting together. The priest was taken back before slowly nodding "Of course! though, it will be on short notice..." Said the priest. The girl nodded and thought there'll be more time to think, the priest sighed and reached out for his pocket and took out a letter.

It caught (Y/N)'s attention to see her last name written on the beautiful envelope "do you mind considering thinking about this too?" questioned the priest, he didn't want the child to think such things but he didn't want to take such responsibility to the fortune that wasn't even rightfully his.

"It's from your Aunt, Hermanita Fernando" The priest informed, (Y/N)'s breathing quickens the longer she stared at the letter that was neatly sealed with a golden seal stamp.
"I'm not sure what's written in here so you have to read it once you're alone, Hermanita directly writing a letter doesn't mean good" The girl frowned at the news before slowly nodding.

"Alright! Everyone gather around, it is time!" The voice of Abuela called. (Y/N) and the Priest turned their heads before looking at each other in agreement. The girl walked inside the Casita while the Priest placed a hand on her shoulder to temper her nervousness about her upcoming decisions. Señora Guzman spotted the two and decided to call out for them as the room went quiet.

Everyone lend their ears to Abuela who was up the stairs holding a candle with a soft smile on her face. (Y/N) didn't like the idea of thinking about business, she was suppose to be a child running around and doing small chores here and there.

Her thoughts were stopped by small giggles, snatching her head towards the noise, there were two children beside her trying to hide their laugh. (Y/N) placed her pointer finger to her lips and shush them making them stop giggling.

"Fifty years ago,"
Abuela paused, looking around the room to make sure they were listening "In our darkest moments" everything seems so quiet you can hear a pin drop, (Y/N) could feel her heart thumping in excitement, trying to forget the letter and the legacy for her to enjoy night.

"this candle blessed us with a miracle and the greatest honor of our family has been to use our blessings to serve this beloved community" Abuela said, her speech wasn't much but it did caught everyone's attention so much that they just smiled and not say a word or even a small cheer.

"tonight, we come together once more as another steps into the light to make us proud" Just then, the curtains in the front opened and the lights moved to show a small boy with dark skin and black curly hair. Antonio wore a white-yellowish outfit that showed that he was the star of the night.

"Look it's Antonio!" Caira shouted. Everyone started cheering while (Y/N) just smiled and admired how people care so much about Antonio's gift ceremony.

The cheers died down when they realized Antonio was still looking up at the crowd, feeling shy and embarrassed. The shy bot didn't want to move even when Casita pushed his heels mentioning for him to start walking down the isle "why isn't he walking?" Klaus raised an eyebrow and looked at his sister.

"He's probably panicking," (Y/N) reasoned, feeling sympathy for the boy who had everyone's eyes in him "he's a really shy boy" Klaus nodded in understanding looking back to Antonio.

A few more seconds, Antonio looked to the side or rather behind the curtains, before holding out his hand. Everyone waited before slightly gasping to see Mirabel emerging from behind the maroon curtains "Mirabel?" Caira gasped.

(Y/N) smiled at the small girl before looking back at Mirabel and Antonio who was now walking down the Isle. The lights followed them up the stairs to where Mirabel finally stepped aside and left Antonio with Abuela.

"will you use your gift to honor our miracle?"
Abuela questioned before slightly letting Antonio touch the candle, (Y/N) stared intently at the boy trying to guess what he will do "Will you serve this community and strengthen our home?" (Y/N)'s eyes widen to see Antonio nod without hesitation. This action made her consider continuing her family legacy but she will think about it.

Abuela stepped aside and let Antonio walk to his door, Antonio touched the door know and there it was. The golden dust the lighten the door making everyone's eyes widen at such a bright sight. Antonio gasped when he noticed a toucan resting on his arm "uh-huh, uh-huh! I understand you!" Antonio's lips curved into a smile as he talked to the animal. Silently, (Y/N) celebrated that she won the bet although she did not know how, beginners luck?

The toucan jumped and moved to Antonio's other hand before looking at him with a small noise "of course they can come!" Antonio agreed though (Y/N) did not know what he's agreeing on with the bird.

The toucan's scream silenced everone when they noticed nothing happened until birds started swarmimg the sky and different kinds of mammals past everyone's legs. Caira squeaked and hugged her brother who was laughing at the sight of the animals running around. (Y/N) gasped as she felt something on her leg, lifting her skirt up, she saw a cute coati smiling softly at her "hello there" The coati rubbed its head on (Y/N)'s legs before shyly running away making the girl giggle at its charms.

Suddenly, the glowing door lightened up and formed a picture of Antonio with animals on the side with his name on top of the beautiful designs on the side of the door.

"We have a new gift!"
Abuela announced making everyone cheer as Antonio open his door only to find a jungle with a large tree. Caira and Klaus started to drag (Y/N) in who was looking back at Señora Guzman and the others who only nodded.
That night, they started to party in Antonio's room except for two people.
