-can't it wait-

(Y/N) walked back home accompanied by Camilo who was commenting about the dance the whole way through and though it was annoying, (Y/N) felt flattered that Camilo would compliment her first time dancing.

Back in (h/t), (Y/N)'s dance instructor would judge her every move making her weak and numb by all the words that came out of their mouth but it didn't matter now.

"Goodnight, (Y/N)" Camilo said, flashing her a smile that made her heart pound and her legs weak "Goodnight" with a small smile and a slight wave, Camilo turned his heel and walked back home. (Y/N) smiled before opening the door and walking in, slowly closing the door as she sneaked in trying to stay quiet.

Señora, Mariano, and the priest already went to bed early for tomorrow. (Y/N) heard that Mariano was going to propose to Isabella tomorrow night so she guess they decided to prepare themselves for the event, (Y/N) was excited too but I don't she'd have much luck with that after she opens the letter.
For the last few years, every letter her parents got from Hermanita was bound to get them thinking until they start overthinking the whole week.
(Y/N) quietly walked back to her own room before closing the door, she was exhausted but she stayed up and she sat down on her nightstand before turning on her small desk lamp. Examining the envelope, she carefully tore the stamp and grabbed the letter inside the envelope and there written 'Dearest (Y/N),' it was any normal letter and there wasn't wrong with it until she skimmed through the cursive written letter.

"Dearest (Y/N),
I am pleased to inform you that we have much room for you here in Cartagena. For the last few weeks, I was told that you're staying over in Encanto having fun and being immature like a child but as your aunt and closest relative. I will be taking you in as my own daughter for both fortunes and sent you off to four years of boarding school. As my nephew, the day I'll perish will be the day the consequences will be hand out to you for I am contractually obligated to pass down my legacy to, (Y/N) Dela Cruz.
I am not a child, I know you have decisions of your own so I'll give you two choices.
First, The Dela Cruz legacy will still be in your hands if you agree with carrying both fortunes. Second, If you stay in Encanto, both legacies will be abandoned in your hands. Alas, don't you worry my child, you're still in good hands. I do hope you'll choose wisely.
Sincerely yours, Hermanita Fernando'

What a letter!
(Y/N)'s heart fastened at the letter, she did not want to spent four years away from Encanto. Though, she didn't want to abandon both fortunes too for she has dreams of her own. There must be another way.

Quickly, (Y/N) ran down stairs, her feet making a loud thump shaking everyone in the house up. The dark living room made it hard for her to see which room was whose, all she knows is that she needs an adhlt. Knocking on a door, she shook her head as she knocked again loudly waiting for a reply "(Y/N)?" Called the priest.

(Y/N) turned around and saw the priest with a worried look "Oh, Father!" she cried, running towards the priest as she sulk to the floor bringing the priest with her. A few seconds, the door opened bringing light into the room as Señora stood in front of the door.

"Mija, what's wrong?" Señora questioned, Mariano came into scene as soon as he heard the cries.

Mariano turned on the lights in the living room while Señora guided (Y/N) to the couch while the priest read the letter with furrowed eyebrows. The girl sat on the couch silently sobbing, Señora running her hand up and down her back as comfort.

"what can we do? I don't want to leave Encanto! There's so much life here" (Y/N) replied, holding her hands together, begging. There was another reason why (Y/N) didn't want to leave. It was because she met someone that made her feel so alive and complete, she was a little off balance since the day she met Camilo. This is because she had never known what it is like to be perfectly aligned.

"But if I don't then, I might never be able to pursue my dreams I made with Camilo!" the girl contemplated, her eyes glossed with the tears that was close to escaping, her head throbbed with the thoughts she was thinking.

"The first choice could be the perfect opportunity for you, Hija" Señora smiled, she hate to admit it but she has no idea what to do. It's not like she actually has responsibility for the child, she wants to but I'm afraid there was nothing they can do "But then I'll be leaving Encanto, Camilo, Klaus and Caira behind"
Like it or not, (Y/N) had quickly grown quite attached to the twins to see them smile and have fun like every other child.

"I'm afraid there's nothing we can do, this will be your choice to make" Said the priest. The priest was thinking a way he can help but he was with Señora, there was nothing they can do for this was (Y/N)'s decision to make.

"Please," (Y/N) pleaded, her eyes brimmed with tears before slowly running down her cheeks "Please tell me! I'm just a foolish child, I'm useless on my own" (Y/N) explained, after all those years of being isolated, being told what to do. It stopped her from making her own decision, unsure of what's right and what she'll regret making. What will she choose?

"No matter how hard I try, I need someone to tell me what to do" the priest sighed and looked down "(Y/N) my dear child, you will know the right decision when you pick the hardest and most painful choice but your heart is at peace"

(Y/N) looked down, tearing her gaze from the priest. All her energy drained from thinking. It was a lot to take in, but she nodded.
what will the others think if she told them?
are they willing to wait? or will they see their friendship just for now?
