Italics - Pillow thoughts

-I'm sorry, please forgive me. I never meant to make you cry-

(Y/N) and Bruno walked out if the room before walking their separate ways, mumbling small thank you's and sorry's.
It wasn't anyone's fault, she had to blame herself. It was her choice, she can do no more but wait.

(Y/N) went home and grab the present and the letter knowing what to do as she walked towards the belonged, taking her time as she wandered and looked around.

It took her longer than usual though she didn't mean to feel sad but she couldn't stop thinking the vision, she didn't even noticed she arrived "Hey, (Y/N)!" Antonio smiled, his voice cracking seeing (Y/N) walk towards him "Hola, Camilo" (Y/N) greeted, knowing Antonio doesn't sound like that, her eyes weren't puffy, sneaking a small seconds from Julietta so Camilo was oblivious to the fact that (Y/N) cried earlier.

The pond was the same yet it felt like it was changing from season to season, the flowers bloomed and the trees were losing their leaves yet they were holding in tight. It was a beautiful feeling being back here after so long "It's been a while since we've visited this place together," (Y/N) said, looking around the familiar place making Camilo chuckle, running his hand through his hair "Yeah, but the flowers kept growing!" Camilo mentioned, looking at the flowers they planted a few months ago.

"Happy birthday, Camilo" (Y/N) forced her lips into a smile, handing Camilo an opened envelope and a yellow box with red ribbon on top "It's nothing much," (Y/N) felt shy, being so rich yet giving so little. Camilo twirled around shapeshifting back to himself "Hey, As long as it came from the heart!" Camilo said, wrapping an arm around (Y/N). (Y/N) returned the action, longing for the hug to last forever.

Everyone has a part inside that aches with a sadness sometimes you cannot hide,
so she cried.

Camilo's smile turned into a frown, noticing the girl crying into his chest "(Y/N)? what's wrong? why are you crying? Do I really smell that bad?" Camilo joked, only for his smile to faltered seeing (Y/N) break down in front of him.

Here are they now, sitting next to each other hand in hand as they dipped their feet into the pond's cold water. The cold winter wind past flew them as they wait for nothing in particular "what will you do when someone ruined your birthday?" (Y/N) suddenly asked, Camilo stayed silent and thinks for a moment "I'd probably cry" Camilo responded, it was a weird question "Why? did someone ruin your last birthday?" Camilo turned his gaze towards (Y/N) who nodded.

"I ruin my own birthdays," (Y/N) eyes felt quite heavy, her puffy eyes were visible as she calmed down, sniffing once in a while "do you want to ruin my birthday?" Camilo questioned, (Y/N) shook her head slowly.

"I don't," she replied, Camilo looked at her then towards the box he was holding. Camilo broke their intertwined hands, carefully opening the envelope before skimming through it. Camilo gripped on the envelope in case it flew away before he opened the box, carefully unwrapping it so he doesn't accidentally drop them in the pond.

(Y/N)'s birthday present was a small brown handkerchief with light-brown chameleon, Camilo chuckled at the cute design before placing a hand on (Y/N)'s knee "You made this?" (Y/N) nodded, with the help of Mirabel.

"Thank you," Camilo chuckled, wanting to lighten up the mood "do you want to use it?" (Y/N) shook her head yet Camilo placed his pointer and thumb underneath (Y/N)'s chin to turn her head making her face him.

Using the handkerchief, Camilo wiped (Y/N)'s eyes gently "why are you crying?" Camilo whispered, wanting an answer from the girl but he knew not to force her "I'm sorry I've waited for so long" (Y/N) sobbed, bringing tears to her eyes again as she cried.

The girl wanted to answer yet she couldn't bring herself to talk about it, She didn't want to ruin Camilo's birthday, she couldn't bring herself to. It made it a lot worse, She use to have stars in her eyes but they died and fell into her throat and now she can't stop choking.

'I love you' she thought, but she didn't say it.
"will you wait for me?" (Y/N) questioned, Camilo nodded without hesitation "I will." He answered, (Y/N) wanted to breathe yet the air thickens as she drew her breath "You promise?" Camilo agreed, his heart calming down "Will this involve our happy ending?" Camilo whispered, his face nigh nearer towards (Y/N)'s staring at her "I swear I will never be happy again if time stops ticking" Both knew there was something more between them, but I guess both of them realized it but not realized how the timing was wrong.

"You found me," Camilo whispered, (Y/N) gave a sad smile and nodded "You were nothing more than another face but six months later you're the only face I could ever find in a crowd" Camilo smiled, eyeing the girl's (e/c) eyes staring back at him, Camilo waited for a permission to which (Y/N) silently stared.

The time stopped when Darkness fell between them as their lips connected, their hearts stopped and skipped a beat feeling each others warmth exchanged as they kissed. A few seconds passed, they pulled away feeling their stomachs turn and their heads light.

Fluttering their eyes open, they pursed their lips and watch the other recover "I'm sorry," (Y/N) apologize, Camilo nodded and caressed her check, running his thumb up and down as he rested his forehead against hers "I'm sorry," (Y/N) repeated, Camilo shook his head and closed his eyes trying to calm themselves.

You know sometimes it's the little details
that take up the most room in your heart. How nervous they get when you tell them you think they're beautiful, the way they laugh even if it's not supposed to be funny, the way they reach for you and they find you through the dark even if their eyes are closed.

"come on, hermosa. let's adore one another before the long wait for you and me" Camilo whispered, (Y/N) placed a hand on Camilo's wrist as they listen to each other cry. Camilo's other hand finally ease his grip on Hermanita's letter.

Then you are reminded that life will continue on, regardless of whether you choose to board the train or stay on the platform.
