-Encanto-

(Y/N) was counting the trees they passed, the donkeys made noises once in a while making her frown even more.
(Y/N) hated the noise the donkeys made, she found it irritating and annoying and it broke her concentration.

"How much longer until we arrive?" The impatient girl questioned, looking at the man who was uptight and cloyingly gaze into the Mistress's eyes that expressed annoyance.

"not much farther, 20 more minutes" answered the man who tipped his hat. (Y/N) gritted her teeth and said nothing, she couldn't do anything but watch the trees and bushes they passed by.

(Y/N) was bored because the plants looked exactly like the ones she read from a book, she found no interest in them whatsoever. People who read books about places or plants are eager to visit and see it in first perspective but for the Mistress, it only spoiled her from discovering new things.

The man kept glancing at the girl, he found her quite ugly. The man figured it wasn't about her features but it was about the aura she gave and the expressions she expressed that made her so unattractive.

Mistress (Y/N) had long lashes fluttered as she rolled her eyes in annoyance whenever they passed by something she already identified in the book of plants.

And her thin, (Hair/Length), (H/C) hair stayed still on her shoulders except for the strands that escaped from being tucked behind her ear.
The man noticed her bony figure flinch every time her pale, (Skin/Color) skin made contact with the sun for it made her skin burn and itch.
The end of her (Favorite/Color) dress and her (Second/Favorite/Color) ruana bounced with every bump the carriage encountered.

The man felt sympathy for the girl for he had served the Dela Cruz for years yet he seen so little of the girl. Speaking of seen, from a distance, the man unconsciously smiled as soon as he saw a lively town.

"Mistress, we have arrived in Encanto" The man informed, (Y/N) whipped her head around to see they were about to go through a small space between two houses.

Passing through, People around watched her pass by and even gave a quick smile which made the Mistress feel all tingly. The people were so friendly and lively, (Y/N) doubt they'd even care about her living, if the servants did not care for her despite the fact that they've been serving her for years-what made the difference between the people she barely even met?

So caught up with the smiles and the welcoming waved, The Mistress never noticed the carriage stopped in front of a house with a red roof.

The Mistress teared her gaze from the people to see two other smiling faces, quickly, (Y/N) stood up and didn't even bothered grabbing her luggage before she was greeted.

"Hola! you must be (Y/N) Dela Cruz!" Señora Guzman greeted, her warm smile made her look less aged and more young. (Y/N) looked at the woman and nodded "Nice to meet you, Señora Guzman" (Y/N) didn't bothered introducing herself as (F/N)'s daughter for they already know. The man beside her smiled "This is my Mariano" Señora lovingly smiled at her son before looking back at the child "come, come! Let me show you your room!" Señora jumped in joy before mentioning for Mariano to grab the luggage for (Y/N).

Señora gave Mistress (Y/N) a tour of the house while she looked around, it wasn't big but it was very lively and the garden smelled like roses and citrus. How come her house didn't smelled like this? she wouldn't even mind going outside just to smell the scented garden once in a while.

"And here is your room, it's nothing much but my Mariano wanted to welcome you so he added (Favorite/Fruit scent) scented pillows" (Y/N) looked at the room and gazed every detail.

The floor was well-polished and the walls were plain nude-pink color. There was an open window that faced another house full of flowers and a big blue door with a tower on the side.

The window was small with (F/C) curtain that was neatly tied with a red ribbon, The bed matress was plain white but the pillows and blanket were (Color of the fruit you chose for the scented pillows).

A small table by the window and a small bookshelf beside it, a big brown closet beside the bed and to finish the room, the wall beside the door had a rose painting framed perfectly.

"Do you like it?" Questioned Mariano. (Y/N) never appreciated things so she just nodded "It's not what I expected" The Mistress replied, she expected the room to be like hers, Big, full of space, a king-sized bed.

Señora laughed, not getting the appreciation she deserve but was oblivious to it so she shrugged it off "I bought you clothes," Señora opened the brown closet and skimmed through the dresses and ponchos that were hanged "I'm really sorry about the fire, (F/N) was a good man," Mariano placed a hand on his mother's shoulder who sadly smiled at his son "your best clothes must've been burned along with the house but I picked out the best dressed from one of my favorite tailors!" Señora closed the closet and patted Mariano's hands gently "We'll give you time to get ready, The Madrigals want to have dinner with you as a warm welcome!" Señora gently pushed but the Mistress stopped her "Madrigals?" Asked the Mistress, who were the Madrigals?

"Of course, Abuela was the one who asked to have dinner with you!" Explained Señora, she was beaming with joy as she announced the Madrigals.

(Y/N) uttered no word and found the floor quite interesting once again, Señora Guzman closed the door and left the Mistress all by herself. Mistress (Y/N) sat on the bed and looked out the window, she didn't want to change her clothes because she thought it look presentable and because she wanted someone to do that for her. When will she learn to dress all by herself? When will she learn to thank someone who brought all effort to give her a roof above her head? There's so much more she needed to learn.
