Peculiar; C. Madrigal

twenty six;

-Winter-

Fall flew by not too long ago but now it was winter! Though, it wasn't snowing. December 27th was a lot colder that usual, (Y/N) quickly grabbed her warmer clothes and gotten ready to eat breakfast with the Madrigals to celebrate Camilo's birthday.

(Y/N) stared at Camilo's present next to the letters she received, keeping each and one of them. It was a small present but she hoped Camilo would appreciate it.

The priest has to leave early for the church, knowing he stayed longer than he should have. Señora and Mariano smiled at (Y/N) as soon as they saw the girl walking down the stairs, ready to head out, Everyone walked out of the house and headed towards Casita.

"Good morning!" Everyone in town greeted each other, it has been a lot better after the candle event. Who needs a candle anyway? Now, they have a lamp to light the way in darkness.

"Welcome!" Abuela opened the door to let them in before happily guiding them towards the dining table, (Y/N) sneakily walked behind the adults trying to sneak away, the girl turned around and ran behind a pillar, wanting to sneak towards Camilo's room. Quickly looking left to right, she agreed to herself that the coast was clear, (Y/N) stepped forward to see Abuela smirking at her.

(Y/N) pouted and groaned making Abuela laugh "Don't worry, Hija. Camilo is already at the table, he did finished all the seconds but I'm sure we can make more" Abuela reminded, placing a hand on (Y/N)'s back before they walked towards the dining table "He did?" (Y/N) chuckled, Abuela laughed and nodded.

"(Y/N)!" Camilo shouted as soon as he saw (Y/N) walk through the door "Camilo, have some manners!" Pepa scolded making Camilo laugh and apologize "Happy Birthday, Camilo!" (Y/N) waved before sitting next to Mirabel who was smiling at her "Any present?" Camilo eagerly questioned, Felix glared at Camilo making him sit back down and silence himself making (Y/N) chuckle.

Across the table, Dolores' eyes widen at the sound of her name, she looked around and saw (Y/N) covering her mouth whispering only Dolores could hear. The girl was asking Dolores to tell Camilo to wait by the pond later on, Dolores raised her eyebrows at the pond, not a single person knew about the belonged except for Camilo and (Y/N). Dolores shrugged and turned towards his brother who eagerly listened.

"Today, we celebrate Camilo's 15th birthday as a whole family" Abuela informed, smiling at each and one of the family. Guzman and Dolores were engaged on her birthday, August 31st admitting to herself that it was the best proposal and birthday ever. This month Camilo's birthday party will be held later on, dinner "We say grace and pray for Camilo to have yet another great year to keep growing and to be a fine handsome man" Pepa pinched Camilo's cheek as soon as she saw Camilo already munching on his food, Mirabel and (Y/N) giggled at each other.

"Mi Familia, Breakfast is served!"
Abuela announced, Everyone started eating and chatting like a happy family it was. (Y/N) was going to meet up with Bruno later on to have her future sorted because of now, she was still worried, it was not an easy way to say this but it made her lose appetite but she was still eating healthy.

"I'll meet with you later!" (Y/N) waved goodbye to Camilo before following Bruno to his tower, it wasn't much far since Bruno was now here so he took a shortcut that only he knew.

"Are you ready?" Bruno questioned, (Y/N) sat down in front of Bruno with a nervous look but nonetheless nodded "Don't worry, (Y/N). I'm sure we can find an answer" Bruno comforted making (Y/N)'s muscles tense, she have waited this long yet she doesn't know if she'll last next week, she have underestimated how fast time runs.

Bruno lit the pile of leaves before handing out his hands to (Y/N) to which she accepted, there it was, the sand barrier she saw once. Bruno's eyes glow green as he looked around, (Y/N) opened her eyes and saw herself running around and playing hearing her laughs echoed through the barrier "When is this?" The girl questioned, gripping on Bruno's hands to which Bruno shrugged "I-I'm not sure but I know this one!" Bruno answered, pointing towards (Y/N)'s silhouette holding Camilo's hand.

"This will happen today!" (Y/N) smiled at the thought when suddenly A letter appeared before a carriage came rolling in front of the letter, (Y/N) walked in the carriage. Fading away, two teenagers laughed and ran around playing with Camilo. Suddenly, (Y/N)'s silhouette appeared again giving Camilo a jar before it ended with (Y/N) staring from afar.

"Oh no," Bruno's eyes widen at the sight of (Y/N) "what?" The girl asked but Bruno looked at her before closing his eyes, ending the vision. (Y/N) covered her head as the sand fall, quickly recovering, (Y/N) looked at Bruno then to the vision he was holding "You've decided too fast" Bruno whispered, handing (Y/N) the vision.

"what do you mean?" Bruno sighed and looked down "You have decided too fast," Bruno repeated and placed a hand on the girl's shoulder "I told you, you need to take your time yet you've chosen already" (Y/N)'s eyes widened at the thought of her leaving "The vision was unclear, yes? yet the time is ticking and you have a choice but now your choice of staying has been taken for granted" Bruno explained, (Y/N) was confused "How?!" Bruno answered "Your (h/t) priest, Joshua, already told your aunt about you taking after the legacy"

(Y/N)'s eyes water and stomped her foot "Why that little backstabber-" Bruno's lips pursed as he watched the girl rage "(Y/N)!" The girl turned around to face Bruno "You can't blame the anyone, y-you said it yourself. You agreeing to take the legacy, I'm sorry" The girl's heart burned, aching as (Y/N)'s hands made their way to her chest before she started sobbing.

Bruno looked at the girl, comforting her by running his hands up and down her back.
