-waiting-As the sun rises, so does the girls.
They made their beds, Giggling once in a while as they talk about boys, and how charming they look. The big room was filled with eight beds on each wall, a total of sixteen beds leaving a small path in the middle.
It was time for breakfast so up and early they learn "(Y/N), come on!" Fille called, pulling on the girl's white blanket making her groan. (Y/N)'s eyes fluttered open, seeing as the sunlight hit her face whilst the dark room remained ominous.
She have slept so little for the last few days, yet she have perfectly done her studies.
Every tea time, her pinky out with her back straighten, silently sipping.Every study time, she answered perfect choices, each word in perfect pronunciation.
In the library, she skimmed through every page from book to book. These acts made her every teacher's favorite, the school wasn't to strict but it made (Y/N) burn herself out.
The busy classes made sure she had no time to writing letters and by the end of the night, lights would go out at 9:00 PM sharp. Each night she sat on her bed, she'd say her prayers and whispers her wishes. The sun laughed at her misery while the moon tended her wounds yet the stars listened to the nethermost and longing whispers and stories of (Y/N) Fernando's desires.
"what did you wish for?" Lily asked blinking her gaze away from the shooting star towards (Y/N), waiting for an answer. (Y/N) opened her eyes and rested the bridge of her nose on her intertwined hands "bridge back home," Lily nodded, confused about her mysterious acquaintance's answer.
"you're peculiar, Do you know that?" Lily asked, "do you wish for me to change?" (Y/N) sassed, not really in the mood for bullies before she quickly dipping her feet from underneath the covers "No, not really-" Lily shook her head and smiled, looking at her hands as they played with the end of her nightgown "You remind me of a person," the night was silent, noises of annoying crickets by the bushes made it clear that they will never be alone no matter how silent the world becomes.
"She and I parted ways and promised to find each other once we've come of age" Lily said, smiling at the thought of herself with she "then, we'll runaway together" Lily thought of her raven hair and olive eyes, fantasizing about her fair skin and soft rose-y lips as she looked at the sky as if She was the brightest but most distant star "Just the two of us," whispered Lily.
"she?" Lily nodded, her eyes twinkled as she thought about a she, Lily have noticed how quiet her acquaintance has been so she looked down with red face "is it weird? I, a lady, falling in love with a she?" Lily asked, (Y/N) does not care about what gender Lily is attracted to because all she knew was that Lily felt what she is feeling.
(Y/N) shook her head and turned her gaze to Lily, her now-red face matched her brunette hair which was tied in a messy bun "It's weird knowing someone is capable of understanding how I feel," said (Y/N). Lily's eyes widened in shock "She a she too?" (Y/N) must have confused the girl, (Y/N) shook her head and wrapped herself underneath her blanket "He's a lover," Lily smiled before preparing herself to lay in bed besides (Y/N)'s.
"he'll be waiting back home," (Y/N) never doubted that one bit but she felt as if Camilo is slowly drifting away and moving on, thinking every second Camilo would reach in the jar and throw away a wish.
(Y/N) didn't want to know how much he has achieved with her away but at the same time, she's happy how much he has reached "You must've ken him well" (Y/N) shook her head, not knowing what it meant "I grew up with him," (Y/N) stated, thankful for how much she have grown.
"let's keep each other company while our lovers wait for us home," Lily smiled and hand out a hand for (Y/N) to shake "friends?" asked Lily, (Y/N) smiled and nodded "friends."
The next day, It was the same.
Breakfast, classes, tea time or should I say (Lunch), classes, and then dinner.
It was starting to bore the girl, she wanted something exciting that would make her heart pound again rather than listening to the same rhythm each and every hour. It was strange how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different. But there she was, living despite it all.Sometimes, she even wonders if all the goodbyes she had ever said, if hers is the one Camilo can't get out of his head.
"where you off to everyday?" asked Abuela. The elder walked with her grandson who was wiping his sweat with the chameleon designed handkerchief "somewhere, I can't really tell you" Camilo replied, chuckling at Abuela who has been asking him the same question everyday.
"You're not seeing someone, are you?" Abuela gasped at such thought but for the first time, it didn't faze Camilo "No, I would never. I will forever be waiting," replied Camilo with confidence as he looked at the horizon before him, Abuela sighed and placed a hand on Camilo's shoulder "just be back before dark," Nodding at Abuela, Camilo ran back to where the sun peaked through the trees, where their fragile planted flowers bloomed each and every day, and the pond that was still as ever.
Abuela stared at Camilo's fading silhouette and frowned thinking about Alpha centauri, her thoughts were loud and it seemed as she whispered "so much pain for someone so young," deja vu?
You might be thinking, the author has chosen random words for Abuela to think.
No, she knows exactly what she's writing.
Alpha Centauri is a binary star system, and a very special one. The two stars orbit so closely that until modern telescopes, astronomers thought they were only one star. Two stars so close, orbiting each other that their light appears as one from earth.
-Good Omens. It is very rare for the unknown to be known to you, very peculiar and wonderful.
