~ Festival ~

August 3rd had arrived.

It was still rather early in the day so there was a lot of time before they needed to go. Mikey was chilling on his bed, tossing his dorayaki into the air deep in thought about everything that had been going on lately.

Suddenly that train of thought derailed when his door flew open, and Rain rushed into his room with a worried look on her face which startled him.

"What's going on?" He asked as he sat up alert, but she dived over him, causing his cheeks to redden at the sudden action as she practically landed on top of him. She never acted like this, so he could barely produce words.

"Hide me now!" She whisper shouted. He wasn't sure what was going on, but he found himself obeying her words without a thought as he threw his blanket over her.

Nearly pissing himself for the second time in less than five minutes, the door busted open again. His eyes widened as his little sister stormed in with a pissed off look on her face.

'What is going on with these girls today?'

"Did Rain run in here?" She asked, her voice low and intimidating.

"No?" He lied going back to laying down and she huffed before storming back out.

Rain breathed a sigh of relief once she was gone and sat up taking the blanket off before thanking him.

"What was that all about? Catch her staring at photos of Ken-chin again?" Mikey teased and she breathed out a sigh.

"I would actually have preferred that. No, Emma's trying to force me into a kimono for the festival, but I really don't want to." She pouted, shifting her legs into a more comfortable position.

Mikey blushed at the thought of Rain in a kimono before shaking his head to refocus.

'Now's not the time Mikey.'

"Huh? Why not?" He asked turning to face her, and she blushed looking down.

"They're too hard to move around in and they're too girly for someone like me." She said making a look of disgust and Mikey chuckled, finding it adorable when she got all shy like this.

"Well, you are a girl, I think you'd look nice in one." He said, and she flinched as she turned to look at him too, the look in her ocean eyes causing his breath to hitch.

"D- do you think I should wear one?" She asked, and silence fell over them. They just spent the moment staring into each other's eyes and the blonde boy felt himself getting lost in her as he always did.

Those ocean blue eyes were the prettiest thing he had ever seen, and every time he looked into them still felt like the very first.
